The sponsors win.....no Trump....no money....well maybe 10 cents on the dollar.
IF I remember correctly, the sponsor/station "deal" was contingent on the presence of Donald.
They can replace him with Alex Trebek to keep the continuity!
I believe the contracts were contingent upon Trump being present.
What they wont do is disinvite the Muslim-American hit woman who is going to grill Trump on his hate agenda.
That’s a really juvenile way of looking at it. Apparently you listen to the media or Levin’s spin. Trump handled Megyn just fine last debate. Go read The Art of the Deal and learn.
and cruz center stage. It will be good. By the way what is the point of demonizing the fox news channel. The democrats do that enough as it is.
This is the 7th debate. Ridiculous.
âi donââ¬â¢t want it to be about Trump - it should be about the people and the nation.â

This is the standard line we hear now. Oh, it is all for the people. These national televised debates are worthless except for the media making huge sums of money on them. One or two minute slots for a candidate to discuss a topic is nuts. It has always been a ‘theater’ production for the media and now the main star in this next production is gone.
There is no upside for Trump attending the debate in the first place. They have the muzzie activist in there who will paint him as an evil hitler bigot the whole time and megan will be trying to paint him as a woman hater.
He can always defend himself against anyone, but he would be allowing the media to gather some sound bites to use against him.
The earlier contracts stipulated that Trump had to be present.
After that immature press release from fox, I would never give them an interview again. He gets more fair treatment on MSNBC.
:: This is the 7th debate. Ridiculous ::
And, as of Thursday, not a single [State] Pubbie caucus/primary has been held.
Double ridiculous!
Doesn’t matter. He loses good will and other valuable considerations.
He said advertisers didn't even contract directly with the networks anyway. He worked for a third-party broker that would buy up large blocks of advertising spots at discounted prices (due to the volume of business), then sell them off individually to advertisers.
The only incentive Fox has at this point is to protect its image, not its revenues. If their presidential debate has lower ratings than a broadcast of a campaign event for one of the candidates, then it would be a major embarrassment for them.
If someone is too thin skinned and scared to debate what does that have to do with fox...silly question. Of course the debates will go on
“I swear, if this goes on much longer here at FR, I will start watching Megyn Kelly.”
Go ahead. You’ll be a party of one.
How quickly we forget. There were 20 GOP debates for the 2012 election. At this stage there had been 19 of them!
My guess is they’ll offer Trump another reality show. Maybe it will be “Who wants to be my Fourth Wife?”
Agree completely....I really don’t see why anyone thinks this is smart. Acting like a crybaby isn’t very appealing and show a certain childlike tendency that isn’t exactly presidential.
That's the way I see it also. If Roger Ailes were to pull Megyn Kelly from the debate, Fox News would lose all credibility. I don't think the other candidates would want to bail. If Trump is absent, he can't dominate the stage, giving the rest of the pack a better opportunity to make their own case. Also, Trump will be giving them a talking point to use throughout the night - "Donald Trump can't even face the moderators at tonight's debate - is he going to throw temper tantrums like this when he's in the White House?" I still think Trump will find a reason to reverse course, and participate in the debate. If Trump doesn't show, the big winner will be Megyn Kelly.
