BREAKING: Cruz Challenges Trump to One-on-One Moderator-Free Debate
Conservative Review ^ | January 26th, 2016 | CR Wire

Posted on 01/26/2016 6:50:38 PM PST by Isara

Tonight on the Mark Levin Radio Show, Ted Cruz told CR's Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin that he is challenging Donald Trump to a one on one debate.  He suggested that the debate be held on talk radio, and that it be a Megyn Kelly free zone.

Listen:

Cruz Challenges Trump To Debate (Audio)

The challenge comes after Trump said he would not participate in the Fox News debate on Thursday January 28, 2016.

Cruz told Levin, "the fact that Donald is now afraid to appear on the debate stage. That he doesn't want his record questioned. I think that reflects a lack of respect for the men and women of Iowa."

Cruz said if Trump is afraid of Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, or Megyn Kelly hosting a debate that he is willing to do an hour long head to head debate with no moderator.

Developing.

After every debate during presidential cycles, Republicans and conservatives come on FR and say, rightfully, "WHY does the Republican leadership allow our candidates to participate in these debates moderated by liberals and haters whose questions are totally designed in prejudice and bias to GET the Republican? Why do we do it every year? The Republicans need to refuse to do it with these main stream media/Government controlled media asking the questions with their extreme leftist/Democrat party bias."

EVERY debate season preceding every presidential election. Why doesn't the GOP chairman stop this, why AGREE to it, why not DEMAND to be treated fairly? Why do we need "moderators" asking questions anyway?

NOW we finally have a candidate with the cajones, the only one in this bunch, only one in living memory, to refuse to participate unless the debate host network removes the HIGHLY PARTISAN, unqualified, proven Trump hater, transparently seeking to curry favor with her left wing friends and colleagues.

And NOW the Cruzers on FR who weren't even around for all these previous debates in history, knew or cared nothing about politics or were simply Democrats---NOW these people, to support their Establishment candidate, call Trump a COWARD, he's too afraid to face Megyn Kelly. Even Ted Goldman Sachs Cruz is saying it. That's pitiful, because THIS is EXACTLY what conservatives and republicans have wanted for years and years: to NOT let the host network get away with using moderators who are leftists intent upon embarrassing and trying to ruin our candidates, in this case Trump.

So Trump is THE one to set the precedent, to DO what everyone before just TALKED about, and the idiots who should be over on Commitment2Establishment so childishly say, Trump is afraid of Megyn Kelly! LOL!!!!!!!!!!

PS---Trump kicked ass in SIX DEBATES and no one laid a glove on him, and now the losers want another shot at the heavy weight champion. But they aren't in his class. So no rematch.

Let me get this straight, a guy polling at 13% nationally, wants to debate a guy polling at 41%? What?

Actually in a one-on-one contest between Cruz and Trump according to the latest Wall Street Journal and NBC News poll Cruz wins.

Yes, I know with everybody else in the race Trump is winning hands down. Realclear has it 36% to 20%. This is the reality now. Trump wins.

I am trying to bring a splash of truth to the situation. The race is closer than first blush. It will be interesting to see how dropping out of the debate affects the outcome of the first primary. Anyone that says they know now are lying.

Personally I think it can go either way. Whether it helped or not we will see. Cruz will get the vast majority of speaking time tomorrow since others will attack him. They will attack Trump and he will not be able to respond. And there will be viewers, maybe not as large if he was there, but don’t kid yourself it will be in the millions. The press will talk about what was said and Trump will not be the headlines.

Cruz’s challenge really isn’t a challenge. It was headline grabbing event. And it worked. We’re talking about. A lot of people are.

Trump expects everyone to run to him when he calls and kiss his behind. Kelly did not. Trump isn’t afraid of Kelly, he has a horrible temper and this is how he reacts when someone doesn’t give him what he wants.

If Megyn Kelly is reading these, you pushed the trumpet piston. Have no fear you are bringing out the usual response in someone who has no place in the Oval Office.

Of course we understand that as the polls show a virtual tie, Donald has to try to go for ‘run and hide’ headlines.

Your delusions have reached hysterical levels.

You seem to be rather intelligent. Above the average.

perhaps you should be a presidential candidate advisor, you would be good.

For God’s sake, Trump did not drop out of the debate because of Megyn Kelly. She was no more than increased ratings to him. He dropped out because of this:

FOX News mocks Trump with this Press Release:

“We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president,” Fox News said in the statement, adding this gem: “A nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings.”

Oh, you’d like Trump to just buck up and go into the debate with Fox having mocked you all the way to the podium.

You’re the baby for never looking at the facts, just crying over the outcome.

There has to be a case, for the courts to take up the issue. And a “case” requires somebody with standing. Donald Trump is about the only one who would have standing. So if Trump wants the question settled he’s just going to have to sue Ted Cruz.

If the 2 of them worked together they could not only have the issue finally addressed, but they could expose the 2008 coup. I hope they will do it.

Sigh... This is about Iowa; there is no national primary. Cruz and Trump are tied in Iowa, and Cruz is right that Trump owes it to the people of Iowa to show up for the debate. Cruz also says it is a job interview, and you don’t get hired if you fail to show up for the interview.

Ted's acting like a yappy dog. The big dog wonders what all the noise is about.

Cruz says, Cruz says, Cruz says. Blah, blah freaking blah. Who elected him President of Canada? Beck can have his secret society swearing in but Ted isn’t really in position to dictate many terms. All these gas bags have had close to a year to make their case to the public. Some citizens have been paying attention a long time. Some have tuned in just recently cuz the holidays are over. (Poor Ted). A few are either still sleeping or in denial and they won’t matter anyway. Let’s vote. First up Iowa. Do US proud please! Go Trump.

So what is wrong with Fox responding to Trump, the man? He can dish it, but he can’t take it can he? Temper, Temper Mr Trump.

“Fox News publicly mocked Republican frontrunner Donald Trump Tuesday for arguing that Megyn Kelly shouldn’t be allowed to moderate the next GOP debate.

Trump released a video on social media early Tuesday morning in which he asked his supporters if he should bother showing up for the debate given that Kelly is scheduled to moderate.

“Megyn Kelly is really biased against me,” Trump said in the video. “She knows that. I know that. Everybody knows that. Do you really think she can be fair at a debate?”

But Fox seems to have had enough of Trump’s threats, and released a sarcastic response implying that Trump won’t always get to pick and choose who he deals with in life.

“We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president – a nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings,” a Fox spokesperson said Tuesday afternoon.

Fox also made it clear that it won’t be ditching Kelly. The network’s chief called Trump’s bluff Tuesday, suggesting they have no problem if he wants to sit out the event.”

I think it’s pretty funny. I LOVE sarcasm.

A big baby with tons of accomplishments!

Trump is a Casino owner. Casinos make money off of chumps because although the odds always favor the house, they sell an illusion of getting rich quick.

But let a customer who is no chump come in and start counting cards, and the Casino owners cry foul and ban the customer for life. In effect, they take their cards and go home.

Casino owners can get away with it, but not a good quality for someone who wants to be president.
