My wife suffered a stroke and I am requesting prayers
Asked God to heal and help you both.
Prayers lifting for you and your lovely wife good sir.
Dear Lord, thank You.
Tatt
Your wife (and you) are in my prayers.
I understand what you are going through. My Dad had two strokes and it took awhile but he recovered from both. Took lots of practice writing and talking. He went from wheelchair to walker to a cane.
Spend the time that she needs with her. God bless you both.
Father, hear our prayers. Amen.
Prayers up for both of you
Praying!
God bless you and your wife, trebb. May she recover fully.
Prayers for your wife, you and your family Bob.
.
Prayers up for you and your wife. My husband had a stroke , so I understand some of what you’re going through. It’s scary at first, but it gets easier. I’m here if you need to chat. God bless y’all.
Prayers being said for your wife and your family.
Bob prayers for your dear wife. Now, make sure you take care of yourself as well.
God Bless
Prayers Away!
trebb,
I have a relative who had this happen. Her speech has returned bit by bit over time, and although there are a few signs of impairment, she remains a joy to her family and friends 15 years later.
I’ve known other people who have had a brain anueurysm and you would never know it a year later.
I pray that God in His Almighty mercy restores your wife to Divine health in His miraculous wisdom, according to His plan for her, and for you.
I pray He gives you strength, understanding and guidance in the days ahead, relieving all fear from you both, for He is faithful!
May your assurance of Salvation in our Great Lord be complete, the rock you stand upon.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen!
God is Good!
After a very short time, the improvement in my wife's speech is amazing. The therapist says she will be coming twice a week for a month and that we may not need follow-on if things go the way her experience says it will. She expects that in 1-2 months we may not detect any signs that the stroke ever happened - I cried and am misting up now in God's Goodness.
Even better news - the occupational therapist did her screening and said, "You don't need me". She told us that my wife (Ruby) needs to start doing her normal activities, with compensation for a week or so to regain stamina, and that there appears to be zero impairment physically.
I thank all the dear FReepers who have sent prayers up. Ot will be a while before I fully engage but I try to "lurk" for a short while every day or two.
When I "get back" I have resolved to do my best to be a bit kinder and gentler because it just seems right after the scare of thinking I was losing my sweet and faithful wife.
The battle still needs to be fought and we need to find a way to rally round someone but God is in charge.
Thanks you all again.
Joyful news! Joining you in praising God, and praying for continued blessings and Divine health for Ruby and for you, FRiend!
