Last week, just 153,631 people selected an ObamaCare plan through the Healthcare.gov website, according to the latest weekly enrollment report from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
That's far below the enrollment number from the same week last year, when 400,253 signed up.

The commercials in my area show happy smiling “diverse” people, then end with a threat to enroll by x date to avoid the penalty...
Don’t worry the 0badonkadunkama 0bummerCare accounting will put those number above 500K next week.
“If weez can’t get ‘em fo reals, wew’ll make ‘em up until we get what weez needs” /s
My tax dollars are being pissed away in south Florida advertising this idiotic Death Panel plan.
As I have Medicaid, who cares?
I never have to pay a premium or see a doctor bill.
JMHO
It is a tax! Not a health plan.
People are coming to the realization that the “plan” that was supposed to cover all their needs is 1) WAY too expensive, compared to what they used to have; 2) subject to deductibles so high that effectively, they have no coverage until they have spent, out-of-pocket, approximately twice as much as their annual premiums for the basic health care “plan”; and 3) fewer and fewer medical professionals are available to deliver the services, such as they are, and they find themselves on longer and longer wait lists, effectively rationing the care they do receive.
Just going “bare”, no policy at all, and paying the out-of-pocket costs as they go, and risking a fine later, does not sound so bad any more.
“And that could spell trouble for market stability of ObamaCare plans, particularly if those who are enrolling are mostly older and sicker.”
Trouble from whom? The GOP will not defund it. They will simply use more of our money, because they are professed “Christians” who feel the religion gives them sanction to take our money to fund their “Christian” programs.

Believe it or not, this feckless Congress DID do something last year & again this year which is imploding Obamacare from the inside. They cut off the gravy train spigot for insurance companies to be bailed out by taxpayers. Explanations/links at my post:

Just think. If no one posted any articles, there would be no FreeRepublic.com.
The day the Obama Administration actually nails any “diverse” people with a penalty, Satan will have to go shopping for a parka.
Thanks for the info about cutting off the risk corridors. Will bookmark for later.
My fear is that even those efforts will go nowhere - but just a hunch based on history.
When you read the links, I think you’ll see that this is really damaging Obamacare. Why the Dems allowed it to happen is beyond me. NOT a Rubio fan, but it was his amendment that took away HHS’s ability to raid other funds in 2015 & then again in 2016. The insurance companies were promised a pool of customers who HAD to buy insurance or face ‘fines’ & they were promised a bailout if they lost money. Well, the people needed to make the insurance pools work (numbers & health status) are saying “no” & walking away from insurance despite the fines AND now the gravy train has been cut off. Imagine getting less than 13 cents on the dollar when you are thinking 100% of your losses will be covered. Ouch - but the b@stards deserve it for being greedy & going along with Obama. BTW, no surprise that HHS is lying their @sses off on enrollment numbers and they have cut the numbers that they say they need for Obamacare to ‘work’ to make enrollment look better - CBO tells a different story. Anyway, Obamacare will collapse if the current scenario continues .... most of the co-ops have failed as well.
You’re bragging about mooching off of taxpayers?
everyone I know who might have actually benefited from Obamacare because of low income hasn’t bothered enrolling.
You missed the sarcasm.
Pick your ObamaTax plan immediately to avoid the penalty for not subsidizing someone else’s health insurance.
If it is a tax the way Roberts said, then Congress could easily do away with it. A simple 1 or 2 line revision in any funding bill would work. If they (Congress) would only say to his highness, if you want this money, we are taking this away. Call it BALLS Sen McTurtle!
