The overall ranking of Best Countries measures global performance on a variety of metrics.
Unfortunately for the inhabitants of the top two countries, I fear that liberal politicians will work diligently to knock them down several pegs before the next list is published. In fact, they are hard at work right now.
Tell that to those poor girls in Cologne on New Year’s Eve.
I believe ranked in order of who rolls out the red carpet for muzziesmooselimbs.
Don’t think you want to cherry pick. Seriously.
Ahem...
The “cherry pick” you berate is just a recent symbol of an extremely dangerous and pervasive problem Germany is undergoing, frankly.
And yet Cologne was not burnt down and looted with an on going crime wave.
What other cherry-picking do you have?
Have it your way. You’ll be the one who gets to see what happens first hand I guess.
Not just my way. I didn’t put Germany #1 on this list, that ruined your day.
My day is not ruined. Despite what you think Germany is not the be all and end all of Western Civilization. You guys do what you want and then deal with the consequences. I don’t care.
I just spent 5 weeks in Australia.
If i were to buy property it would be there, food is by far better there, its cheap too. But i won’t live near any big city, found a nice coastal town called Victor Harbour about 50 miles south of Adelaide. Nicest most polite people as well.
And they speak english. Sorta....
Who paid for this shallow propaganda piece? Sweden and Germany are so nice these days.
I hear you. I live in a large city on the US border. We went through an 18 month period without a homicide. There are no metal detectors or security guards or locked doors on any public school in this city. Still, I want to get out where people are friendlier.
What a load of Crap/Schizen!
Nothing was cheap in Australia when I was there 3 years ago.Beautiful though.I find Southern Americans to be friendlier ,however.
A few years ago, our oldest daughter was in Germany on business. She stayed in a small city, and went for a walk on a day off. While standing in a neighborhood square, complete with a fountain in the middle of the plaza, surrounded by small restaurants or cafes, she was deciding where to go to eat and watched an employee of one of the restaurants/cafes come out of the front door of his place of employment with a tray full of dirty dishes. He headed straight for the fountain, and proceeded to wash the tray full of dirty dished in the fountain. My daughter decided to walk back to the hotel for lunch.
The absolutely best country for Americans is America.
I believe that notion would be applicable to most countries.
