I don’t think the TV networks are going to be too keen on this. The ratings won’t be very good for an “NFL Today” show that starts at 9:00 on a Sunday morning.
Plus the NFL season is in parallel with their “Footy” season, I’m sure they Premier League folks wouldn’t be too happy about that.
That’s one of the things I found, to may dismay, about NFL Sunday Ticket on DirecTV when I moved to the west coast. Games that started at 9 on Sunday morning proved insufficiently motivating to get me out of bed, even knowing how much I was paying for the opportunity to watch them.
Agreed. This would screw with our semi-famous football lunch. I am not changing it to football breakfast.
The networks are liking the super early slot for London games so far. Ratings are fine, and it’s an extra slot, given how much they’re paying getting a third game a couple of weeks a year is good.
I was on the west coast on a football Sunday. The shows started at 7am. It was glorious to wake up and watch football. TV runs football. They will schedule games accordingly.
