FULL TITLE: Washington state lawmaker shocks high school pupils by asking them about their virginity during Planned Parenthood meeting
A state lawmaker has shocked high school pupils in Washington after asking them about their virginity during a Planned Parenthood meeting.
Republican Mary Dye from Pomeroy, in rural southeastern Washington meet with six students from the Pullman area teen council chapter of Planned Parenthood.
They had been visiting Dye's office with Rachel Todd, a worker from Planned Parenthood, so the politician could give them a deeper understanding of laws and advocacy.
But the teenagers were left stunned when Dye asked if the students were virgins.
She even suggested to another one that was not as she had lobbied for expanded health insurance of birth control.
She even then went on to share her experiences about sex and making the right choices, according to the Seattle Times.
Ms Todd, 29, who works for Planned Parenthood in Greater Washington and North Idaho, said: 'After she made the statement about virginity, all of my teens looked at me.
'And I said, "You don't have to answer that. You don't have to answer that."
'It was incredibly disrespectful and inappropriate.'
While one of the students, 18-year-old Alex Rubino, added: 'It seemed kind of insane for her to say that, especially on the record, to constituents.'
Later in a statement, a spokeswoman for the House of Republicans confirmed the incident and later Dye was forced to issue a statement apologizing.

fyi
The purpose of schools and colleges is to destroy the value system that the kids learned at home and at church/synagogue.
Mary a pedophile?
Just taking notes and writing down names for future reference.
Yep....and soon they will help with the MABLA agenda.
The reportage is rather garbled - not unusual for the Daily Mail - but it sounds as if the representative was trying to discourage teenage fornication.
My support for this opinion is the words “Republican,” “motherly,” and “good choices.”
This ping list is for the "other" articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Of course she’s a pro-Planned Parenthood liberal. She’s a Washington state Republican.
“Republican Mary Dye “
Which is worse... asking about virginity or a “teen council on Planned Parenthood”?
Not really creepy. The repub lady was facing a panel of little zealots brought there by a school based planned parenthood worker. They were pushing her for birth control for school kids.
She hit them right in the face with talk about the choices they must be making. Of course the planned parenthood lady was shocked at a frank discussion of sex and promptly headed for the fainting couch and a microphone.
Fire with fire.
Im basing my opinion on her being a repub, opposing the law the girls wanted, and the planned parenthood woman with the girls being immediately offended.
If planned parenthood is offended, its safe to take the other side. But of course, Washington women involved, so it could be anything.
Abortions and contraceptives are not shocking to the “teen council” of PP but being asked questions about sexual activity is?
I think you are right and the teens were “shocked” because someone had the temerity to discuss fornication and the consequences thereof. When you live in a leftist echo chamber I am sure the truth is shocking.
That’s my take. And that the planned parenthood lady was indignant. I think she talked to them about making good choices. She said she opposed what they wanted too.
Stop and think about PP and what they push, the baby parts business, pushing every perversion and homosexual thing they can fine. Only one thing offends them,,,, and that’s morality.
I think Mrs. Dye is innocent here.
Sounds like this Mary Dye could become governor if she would switch parties. It is “WA”.
“House of Republicans?”
