The largest prime number in the world has been discovered in Missouri by the Great Internet Mersenne Prime Search project, better known as GIMPS. The record breaking number â which, like all primes, can only be divided by itself and one â is a staggering 22 million digits in length. That's 5 million digits longer than the previous record-holder, which was also discovered by GIMPS back in January 2013. If you really want to know, the new biggest Prime in the world starts with a "3" and ends with a "1."

I thought it might be in Missouri...

Onward! accept the challenge to find the next greater prime number. There is an infinite number of them (you never reach the end) and there is an infinite number of numbers.
This prime number is the largest one in the world.
I’m going to post the full number in my next post. Might take awhile to upload and slow the system down so I wanted to just warn everybody.
Heheheh. But “pi” doesn’t end.

Took a lot less time to upload than I thought!
Mersenne Primes, which the article is about, are a power of 2 minus 1.

If you want a larger number, try the National Debt.
Probably a prime in there somewhere.
Ah yes, the end of the pi. Almost the end, doggie takes the rest.
Good point...
I hope this didn’t cost us any tax dollars.
