Most people know the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are close to impossible - some one in 292.2 million, to be exact. That said, a wise and prudent person would think the chances of anyone having pity on someone for losing their life savings - and helping them get back in the game - are nil. Apparently not, as one Tennessee woman, aka the "Biggest Powerball Loser," soon learned.
Meet Cinnamon Nicole, everybody, the new GoFundMe visionary - despite her losing effort to go from rags to riches.
According to an Uproxx report, the Cordova resident joined throngs of people around the country in buying lottery tickets for the history-making $1.6 billion Powerball drawing on Wednesday. However, Nicoleâs situation is different. Instead of buying just a few with her favorite numbers and perhaps, a quick-pick, she allegedly bought a boatload - to the tune of her entire family savings. With that kind of, ahem, investment, how could she lose? She did, and that's only half of this sad tale. The next set of events is downright shocking and is up there with some of the most bizarre things ever done on - and off - the internet. *snip* The poster - or someone posing as her - had the audacity to open a GoFundMe Powerball Reimbursement page. In return for your generosity, the Powerball loser promised to make donors her #MCM or #WCW. *snip* Yea, it wasn't pretty. As outlandish as this sounds - or should - to the average reader, her crowdfunding effort paid off; reportedly, within hours of the page going live, about $800 in donations poured into the account. Apparently, her sympathetic plea sparked the spirit of giving - and gullibility - in some donors.

So take a look at the story. Even though the GoFundMe page is no longer up, there's a screen-shot of what it did look like in the story. Look at the picture of the "victim".
Are you surprised?
I don’t have a dollar for this mumbletypeg, but I do have a finger. Can you see it?
Just so y’all know....I’m not supporting the mental midget who started the GoFundMe page. I think that asking for money after you’ve blown through your family’s life savings is despicable.
How did I know before I even went there?
'Cultural predisposition'?
Life savings, huh? What was that, $62?
Cute but stupid! Cute but stupid! Awk!
I'd say that would depend on how busy her night was and what she owed for, er, supplies.
“Stupid is as stupid does.” *Forest Gump*
I spent $3.00 for a single ticket and collected $8.00!
(my powerball quick pick paid off-big time)
But I just bought the one ticket.
A cross between a poor tax, and paying for a day dream.
There was a guy next to me in line, running a fist full of lotto tickets through the “possible winner self check machine”. He didn't look like he could afford to gamble the money.
It was sad to watch him in action, while the clerk and I were joking about my winnings.
What the hell does this mean?
"In return for your generosity, the Powerball loser promised to make donors her #MCM or #WCW"
Only because I have a teenage daughter in the house, Man Crush Monday and Woman Crush Wednesday.
Wait. “Cinnamon Nicole” wasn’t a clue?
I’m glad my boys are grown up now.
Plus twenty bucks in food stamps that she had swapped for cash, no doubt.
Regards,
I have no idea what #MCM or #WCW mean.
