Channel 2 Action News has learned that the Cobb County Police Department will discipline a police officer accused of telling an African-American driver he didn't care about "your people." During a Nov. 16 traffic stop, Officer Maurice Lawson traded words with a driver. According to police, at the end of the traffic stop, Lawson could be heard saying, “Please go away to Fulton County. I don’t care about you (or your) people.†Community activists have made it clear that they wanted nothing less than Lawson's firing for this incident. The Cobb County Police Department announced Lawson will be suspended 80 hours without pay, and be forced to undergo additional training.

True, but.... they should be adult/mature/professional enough to not react stupidly to verbal "abuse".
I would like to hear one, when accused of racist/bigoted activity, respond, "Since none of that is happening, I have to assume you are suffering delusions. I'm taking you into protective custody for a mental evaluation."
