I still keep one on my car (had to replace it once). When I go out to the parking lot now, it is the only car with an American flag on it.

It wasn’t just NY and NYC that rose up, it was the entire country.
Cruz was poking Trump in the chest about his use of Alinsky tactics - promoting liberal talking points.
Trump (to boos) said the “birther” matter hadn’t concerned him before but now that Cruz is moving up he had made the tactical decision to use it (paraphrasing).
You focus on only part of the debate. Cruz did get on Trump just as Cincinatus’ Wife said, and he also talked about the “New York values”.
But the vast majority of Americans really agree with the “New York” statement, all of us fly-over people. And there is little chance for either of them to carry New York anyway, especially Manhattan.
Please leave off the personal attacks. You can make your point quite eloquently without attacking a fellow FReeper.

No surprise at all that we saw a different debate. I can admit DT got the better of Ted on the NY thing. You can’t admit Ted got the better of Trump on all else.
DT lied about the 45% Chinese tariff and admitted he was only going on about the BC because Ted is gaining on him.
Do your BC principles include the fact that the DT’s mom was not an American citizen at birth?
you ought to hear the ex NYC cops ad firefighters laughing about retiring to the NC coast on some of the obscene overtime and bonuses they got in the months after 9-11. I live on the NC coast. I’ve had beers with them and heard it.

You must be a Yankee. I can’t stand New York, or most New Yorkers. They come down South with their weird, rude, and in your face bully ways. We wish they would go back.
The New York Daily News front cover today is exactly why we don’t like New Yorkers. New Yorkers first inclination in every second in every day is to burst out with four-letter words.
It is likely that many FReepers have at some time or not mentioned “California” values, or “Hollyweird.” That is just like “New York Values.” New York is not like the rest of America. Neither is California.
No doubt they both did well in the debate...which was by far the best we've seen yet.
