He also didn't have near the record of liberal comments that Trump has had. Thoughts?
That didn't work out so well.
Wrong , he ran as Terminator and Son-in-law of Kennedy
He married a Kennedy family member Maria Shriver. Trump is not Arnold.
Trump has been endorsed by Pat Bucahan - that’s good enough for me.
Arnold......Trump......no.
Reagan was a eight-time Screen Actors Guild president and a liberal for most of his life. He was a Democrat when his home state and counties only voted Republican. He went to a Christian Church college, yet got divorced and remarried.
What do you think about that?
Some people become spellbound easily. Obama had the same cult of personality. Jesse Ventura, Ross Perot as well.
When did Arnold run for POTUS?
He isn’t a Natural Born Citizen.
I must have been busy and missed it.
There is no comparison between Trump and Reagan. First off, Reagan was a conservative. He had a record of governing as a conservative. The only record we have on Trump are his lifelong liberal stances.
Agreed...strange how people fall for the cult of personality...where are we, Venezuela?
I would tend to agree. Believe me, Buchannan is both amused and intrigued. Amused for the Epic election year of all time and intrigued on the permanent change the outcome future will suffer.
After this election, and perhaps the next, I probably won’t care anymore.
Trump has either been endorsed or complimented by practically every conservative pundit. Trump is a patriot, he’s one of the good guys.
I don’t remember it that way. That he made a serious effort to appear conservative. I thought at best he was a “moderate” who had to be better than the corrupt communist he was replacing.
I also think that seeing that worthless turd Gray Davis go down excited everyone so much that, in their minds, Arnie had to be the conservative savior.
I lived in San Diego while Arnold was President. I like him, just for the fact that I could tell my son who lived in Minnesota that my governor could kick his governors ass.
He did have congress with an ugly maid — Now that’s depravity.
Other than that, he’s a footnote in the index.
That he was still ten times the man Trump is?
When it comes down to it, our choices are limited. We can and should vote for whomever we like best in the primary and then we have 4 choices in the general: The Dem, the Repub, a 3rd party candidate or none of the above. Only 2 have a realistic chance of winning. I’ll be voting for whichever of those is to the right of the other.
I bought Trumps first book in high school, I have admired him for many years. Many others have watched him for years and know that he is tough and sometimes ruthless but he has integrity. He would not be so rich if he was a crook.
I don’t think it’s cult of personality. I also think that people are willing to take a gamble on someone who did not assist the TPP deal, the Corker bill and massive expansion of the H1B visa program.
Trump does have WAY more experience than either with being the CEO.
