No celebration here on New Year's Eve. The wife went to bed by 9 and I worked until midnight. But, the rain has stopped (17 inches in ten days was enough, TYVM), it's cooled off to seasonal temps, the Redskins won the NFC East and the Steelers squeaked into the playoffs as well, so all is good this evening. Taking a break and having baked hoisin-garlic pork chops with white corn in butter on the side. Looking forward to a cold one in about four hours.

I watched the Skins game last week. That one took a knee instead of downing it play was really something. Poor kid.

I missed the Big Broadcast but I did catch Bob Hope on a 1974 Johnny Carson rerun on AntennaTV. He was on with Don Rickles, Freddie Prinze and Michael Landon. (The TV listings said they’d be showing a different episode with Chuck Heston, but that’s what they played instead.)

Gunsmoke is among if not the best produced OTR program. But many are great.
