The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.'

Happy New Year all! Are you ready to take on 2016?
No schedule has been posted for tonight so we'll grab it later...
All is well, and getting colder, in Baltimore...

What’s the plan now that the host is dead?

Hi Gina, life is good. I'm rested and ready for work. About to grill a hanger steak. Bought a new tv stand which looks awesome and sold the old one. How about you? How was the Trump speech?

lol, you have a way with words. We lost Ed, but the show keeps moving along, currently with a host by the name of Rob, it's unclear if he is temporary or not.

Oh, very good! Something new like that is nice, and you're grilling a nice dinner, too.
The Trump rally was excellent! Keith, Onyx and I were astonished at how close we were to Mr. Trump, about 20 feet or less from center stage, with people only two-deep in front of us to the barricade. I could've shaken his hand at the end, but I was trying to capture a shot of Onyx and Mr. Trump in the same frame. At the end when he was working the group around the stage, he was right in front of us. We stood for four and a half hours, staking out our place (standing room only on the floor where we were), but it was worth it when Mr. Trump walked in to that jam-packed coliseum.
I posted a whole bunch of pictures on this thread: BILOXI: Coliseum prepares for big time rally for Donald Trump Saturday night (Expect heavy traffic). My pictures begin at comment 585, then continue at 635 and again at 717. Here's the three of us, Keith (Logitech), me and Onyx, before the rally began. You can see how close we were to Mr. Trump's podium:

Oh, well, he said the same things he’s been saying, his assurances of what he intends to do—great ideas, every one. He seemed quite sincere, and he had no teleprompter, of course. He’s a gifted speaker, and the gigantic crowd LOVED him beyond measure. I like Ted Cruz best, but I don’t know that Sen. Cruz can prevail over him in the primaries.
