San Diego police officer Browder killed a man who initially he said was unarmed. After viewing this video, he changed his story and claimed the man was holding a knife, which he wasn't.

None of the other cops who showed up had a throwdown? I remember a case in Baton Rouge where the cop shot someone whom he said had a knife. Police secured the area and located 3 knives at the scene. Of course, one was stuck in a telephone pole a half a block away, so it was ruled out.

If a cop is so scared that he can only view every encounter as “you die” or “I die”, then they need to go find suitable employment.

Tell that to the convenience store clerk who hands over the cash and gets his head blown off. Or the driver of a car who suddenly gets yanked out of her car and shot. Or the pizza delivery guy who shows up at the door of a vacant house and someone comes out of the bush and shoots him.
Do you support their right to blow away EVERY person who approaches them with something in their hand? Why is their life less valuable to you?
You’re the one who doesn’t have a clue. The COP signed up to risk his life. He knew that was his job. If he gets too skittish to do the job without murdering everyone who looks at him, then he needs to go find a job in an office.
I saw the video .. and the guy appeared to have something in his pocket which was perceived to be some sort of weapon.
Now, are you such a braggart that you are willing to say HE DOESN’T HAVE A WEAPON .. when you have no idea what he does have .. and the dispatch says a person called to report a guy with a “knife” brandishing the weapon.

I didn’t say that. But he does have a greater level of responsibility to accept risk than the regular citizen. You seem to be a cop, so what would you do to me if I shot and killed someone who was merely walking towards me with something shiny in my hand and I had a car door in between me and him?

Your posts just keep telling everyone that we all have no clue and we aren’t good enough to be a cop. You sound like an idiot with that kind of talk. Everyone here is trained to do something. Some of us have dangerous jobs and some have had them in the past. My brother is a cop and retired just yesterday after 29 years, so I know that I could have been one...if I had chosen to be a pretentious thug with delusions of grandeur and a sense of importance that makes me think that I am more worthy than everyone else. I’m not saying that he is like that, but you sure are.
