Bill Cosby's lawyer says the comedian was charged with a decade-old sex crime simply because a prosecutor was fulfilling a campaign promise.
She also says that once she and Cosby can speak freely, âeverything will be made clear.â
Speaking on NBCâs âTodayâ show Thursday, attorney Monique Pressley said Cosby has been unjustly accused but is in good spirits and will be exonerated.

What isn’t clear to me, is why one of my “role models” good ol’ funny Bill Cosby, Doc Huxtable, et al, was so chummy with Hugh Heffner, and apparently an occasional guest at the “mansion”. Some of the alleged assaults were said to have been related in some fashion, to he and his “date” having been to the place. It doesn’t look very good, even from this distance.
He was a big hero around here for a long time just because he told the nebroids to pull their pants up and get a job.

Not half the FReeper hero that Rove was.
I think I recall recall one woman saying she was voluntarily sleeping with him regularly, and then he still drugged her without her consent. This wasn’t ‘from the record,’ as far as I remember.
So I think it is probably going to be a mix of all circumstances. The drugging and abusing thing without consent even when he was supposedly having voluntarily sex would seem to be a power/fetish type thing, if true.
Freegards
This makes Cosby a sexual predator.
And Bill Clinton as well.
I did not have sex with those women.
Agreed
His lawyer is a Scientologist?
So did Hugh Hefner. “panty droppers” he called the pills.
Will it stand up in court?
Time was Bill Cosby spoke out against drug abuse.
Turns out he was a provider/enabler and possibly more.
Hollywood’s casting couch rapes men/boys as well. Never gets discussed in open media.
Jurists need to be impartial. The public not so much. I understand your point and it would be valid in a perfect world but the tendency to presume cuts across all swaths of society. It may be typical but it’s also the norm.
Karl Rove had a weather making machine, there was a reason to revere/fear him.
Pretty sure they expected to get high not incapacitated.
Think about what you’re asking. If he shared with them and concealed what the effects were is there a difference? Is this any different than putting the date rape drug in a drink?
If i hand you a glass of liquid and tell you its rum but the next thing you know six hours have passed and you have no idea what happened does that get me off the hook? I think not.
Ransomed, thank you for trying to answer my question. I’m still not sure what he confessed to, but I know a little more than I did.
Wiggen, think about what you’re saying. I asked what he confessed to, not what he’s accused of. A mere accusation is not proof of guilt. If he confessed to the crime, or to material aspects of it, that’s one thing; but if she said he forced her, and he said he didn’t, that is not an admission of guilt. What he said is an important clue as to what may have happened. Why shouldn’t I ask what he said?
he can say anything he wishes and you may ask whatever you desire but that can’t change the narrative of 40 women telling the same tale. Some here chose to blame the women which to me is akin to how muslims treat females. When 40 say one thing and he another another theres no doubt in my mind.
Keep in mind that while the statute of limitations may have passed for many of the cases that won’t sop those other women from testifying. He better hope he passes on before sentence is passed because hes surely going away.
I'm pretty sure the threshold for determining guilt or innocence is ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’ and not ‘pretty sure’.
