Hi Swordmaker, Merry Christmas!

Alas, though the quoted article mentioned Apple 4 times and Android 3 times, the word "Windows" does not even appear as a footnote, so I'll pass on pinging the Windows list. I've caught considerable flak for cross-posting and even lost a member or two over it.

I can hardly wait until Microsoft gets off their butt and makes a righteous Surface Phone and gets back into the game for serious.

I've got an iPhone and love it. I wish I could feel that much attraction for a Microsoft device. They're entirely capable of the technical design part of such a product. WTF, Microsoft? The Chicago Cubs of high-tech handhelds.

I went from an iPhone 4s to a 6s Plus earlier this year. It is great. Most of my usage is texting, web browsing, photos, playing music, and navigation. I figured that there was little time I would have it to my ear as a phone and I was right. In fact, a lot of my phone talk time is via earbuds with a mic in the cords, using the speakerphone, or over the car hands-free set, so very few calls are made with the phone held to my ear. It fits just right in my rear pants pocket, too. After agonizing over the decision in the Verizon store, I’ve concluded the phablet form factor is excellent. In fact, after nine months, I wish the screen were even a bit bigger.
