Conway: As A Cruz Person, I’m Worried Sanders’ Supporters Might Go To Trump []
Breitbart TV ^ | 18 Dec 2015

Posted on 12/19/2015 3:01:01 AM PST by GonzoII

Pollster and pro-Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)PAC Keep the Promise 1 President Kellyanne Conway argued that supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders... might jump to Donald Trump on Friday's "CNN Tonight."

snip....

She added that Trump is a usual populist, not a Democrat or Republican and "we have to give some kudos to Bernie Sanders for doing the same thing this year. I know he's eclipsed by everybody trying to clear a straight glide path for Hillary Clinton, nobody wants free market competition on that side, but Bernie Sanders, too, Don, has tapped into some type of populist anti-Washington anti-corporate sentiment. I wonder, after he's out of the race, if and when, don't some of his voters go to the other populist in the race, Donald Trump? I mean, that scares me as a Cruz person." And "Jeb Bush is at 3%. Why is he in the race now?"

However big or little that sliver is, it’s bigger than the non existent sliver of Bernie folks who might go to Jeb or Cruz or Rubio......and that was my only point.

I can assure you most sanders voters would never vote for trump. they are almost all liberal Kool aid drinkers. these are people that claim that rush Limbaugh lies but when you ask them if they have ever listened you find out they are only repeating what they have been told. they look at Move on dot com as a information site not as a a propaganda site.... these are people that are happy about George Soros foreign national being involved in our political system and our up set that the coch Brothers who are US citizens are doing the same thing.

Yesterday, Rush was going on about how wide Trump’s support really is, and how surprised some folks would be to find out who all is coming together to support Trump.

Ultimately, that’s why, from a pragmatic standpoint, Trump is a better candidate for the general than Cruz is.

Sure, Cruz is smart and is more consistently conservative ideologically speaking, but anyone who thinks those will translate into “automatic win in the general” don’t understand the dynamics of this (or most) elections at all.

You’re forgetting the “nationalist” element in Bernie’s “coalition.”

Since establishment pols neither can nor want to stop the annihilation of the US, voters are in the mood to vote outside the box. If the nomination is rigged for hillary (it is) the best vote for dissatisfied dems is Trump.

Everyone's goal, across the political spectrum, should be to destroy BOTH houses!

More of the same childish, idiotic rhetoric that has infected a few of the stupidest Cruz supporters here.
Oh well, it’s clickbait, and idiots love clickbait.

Sometimes the far left and the far right are closer to each other than they are to the sewer muck in the middle. They often have the same goals, but polar opposite ways of getting there.

So I'm all for cleaning out the sewer and starting over. President Trump can do that. Senator Sanders can head a new opposition party that actually cares about the future of the US.

Those in charge now can head for the hills!

Sander is establishment not a populist. He didn’t even go after Clinton’s corruption

I like Cruz more than any of the others. He is more consistent than any of them and a truly knowledgeable Constitutionalist. I would prefer him to be the nominee and President far above any of the others if we still had a Constitution in force. I believe Trump is the only one with the psychological strength to do the non Constitutional things that must be done to return the system to the Constitution. I hope to see a Trump/Cruz ticket come out of this process. Trump needs Cruz to keep him on the right path.

Interesting - Trump has broad appeal and may end up profiting from that.

Some will probably try to say he's a Socialist because the Socialist's supporters may go his way (it's an opinion not a fact at this time), but they miss that many of Bernie's supporters are there because they have a real distaste for Hillary but aren't prepared to totally jump the shark to a Cruz or anyone else with actual ties to the Republican Party...

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate as the next President.
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader

PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to FR

Donate to Cruz

Donate to FR

Nationalist? I don’t follow. Brainlocking on this one. The only nation they care about is any one not named “The United States of America”

At least some Democrats will vote for Sanders purely as the alternative to Mrs. Bill. They may well go for Trump or even Cruz. Even my old friend the UF prof has guardedly expressed some misgivings about the Clinton woman. In the past he has been a pretty accurate bellwether of the Democrat vote. He seems to see Trump as a dictator who could be nudged to socialism as the practical method of keeping control. I really don’t know how that would work out in the voting booth.

If the killer were Moslem the blame would be all over the map, especially as the killer would himself be killed immediately and his connections would not be discovered in the diligent investigation that would follow.

...and FTR, I think Conway over estimated and over stated the issue....

I have heard this before. “We must destroy the Constitution so we can save the Constitution”. For me, no thanks.
