Looking to understand just how controversial the debate over free speech on our college campuses really is, filmmaker and satirist Ami Horowitz recently traveled to Yale University, one of our nation’s most prestigious institutions of higher learning, to speak directly to students.
“I decided to take this campus free speech debate to its logical conclusion,†said Horowitz, who asked students if they’d sign a petition calling for an outright repeal of the First Amendment. “The result was this unbelievable display of total stupidity.â€
In fact, Horowitz discovered a solid majority of the students asked willingly signed the petition, with several expressing their enthusiastic approval for his anti-First Amendment efforts.

Incredible...students exercising their right of free speech under the first amendment to announce that they are in favor of repealing the first amendment protecting their right to the use of free speech...how stupid can they be...........

That’s not so.
Two generations of left extremist control of education has brought us to this point. The America-hating extremists are much more patient than the rational American right.
I think a fair number of the kids that get into Ivy League schools have simply learned good study skills and how to regurgitate what the teachers/professors want. They don’t have to be smart. And the level of focus needed to keep so singularly tuned into getting good grades may well have come at the cost of common sense and actually thinking a situation through to its likely conclusion.
I could very well be wrong. Took some community college and don’t have a degree hanging on my wall, but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
Even when my now adult progeny were thinking about college, I said NO IVY LEAGUE, because those colleges were uber lefty then.
The wonderful teachers’ union and the high schools are cranking out idiots by the hundreds of thousands every year.
It’s getting so it’s impossible to locate any young person with two brain cells to rub together.

Most of those he asked to sign did so.
