The actor who played master swordsman Inigo Montoya in "The Princess Bride" said Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz doesn't understand the point of the 1987 classic that he often quotes on the campaign trail.
Mandy Patinkin said he's received emails from friends alerting him to pictures on the Internet that show scenes taken from the movie with the Texas senator's face superimposed on top of his body, The New York Times reported.
"They Photoshopped his face right over my face!" Mr. Patinkin told the Times. "I said, 'How can I stop this?'"
Mr. Cruz has long listed "The Princess Bride" as his favorite movie and has started quoting the movie on the campaign trail.

Bugs Bunny was the king!
His off screen holier than thou attitude is off putting.
He’s not a Jewish conservative he just embraces being a cultural and historical Jew very much but nixes the God part
Like many he digs the exclusive fraternity and specialness of it but ignores the part that really matters....the theology
He claims he’s actually a Buddhist and is big in donating to the Israeli Left
An idiot in other words
It only is if you pay attention to that stuff.
I am stunned by how much pop culture I don’t know sometimes.
Then you haven't met the Jews here at FR.
Beautiful!
If the Bride and Groom ever make the connection they could laugh about it forever.
Wove, twue wove.....
Ted Cruz’s imitation of scenes from Princess Bride is hysterical.
Mandy should grow up and be flattered.
And, by the way, is every actor I ever liked determined to irritate me. First, Harrison Ford, who, come to think of it always has a kinda stupid look on his face, is a fervent believer in Climate Change.
He claims there won’t be any people left. Now Mandy Patikin a favorite, throws a hissy fit over something he should be flattered by.
The wing! Have you the wing?
Is that better, Mandy?
Or let's get everyone in the act. ;)
