That was such a great show. It's so hard to believe in 2015 that the country used to actually be like that and enjoy "normal" family entertainment.

Season 1, Episode 2: "The Party Dress"

Danny called her “Red” as well as “Clancy.” Fun show. She was very pretty. Jean Hagan, I think, played the first wife.

I always considered her as being in the top 5 of the most beautiful women ever on TV. Just a stunner.

***She played the second wife of Danny Thomas***

When we got our first TV back in 1956, we watched that show.

Then when we saw it again we all said “Who is THAT woman?” as she was the new face.

For years I wondered if I remembered seeing an earlier wife for that show.

The teen age daughter(Sherry Jackson) also went into movies. I saw a “spread” of her in Playboy for THE European version of an American movie GUNN.

She had a great “b-movie” career, being leading lady in things ranging from one of the old Basil Rathbone “Sherlock Holmes” films, to being a lady outlaw in a Tim Holt western, to the heroine in the “Smilin’ Jack” serial, based on the comic strip. She was even in a Bomba The Jungle Boy film. Then, on tv, she hit most of the early-day filmed series, appearing in episodes of “Racket Squad,” “Big Town,” “China Smith,” “Kit Carson” and such. All before she found her way to the Danny Thomas Show.

I met her one time, and asked her about working with the comedy-team Wheeler and Woolsey, as she appeared as ingenue in their two last films in 1937. She seemed to wince a bit, which made me think she wasn’t all that keen to be remembered for something THAT far back.
