I am sorry to have to announce this but I will not be on Tonight or any other night, yes I am going to hang it up. Whoever this crazy person is, they are not stopping and it has come to the point that we as a Family do not feel it is worth the risk. While I think the person or persons are after me, my Wife and now my Daughter are really scared, the other night after the latest incident my Daughter was off in the corner of her bed scared to death as the Police cars came screaming up. I will not put my Family through this. As you all know I dearly love what I do but not at the expense of never ending Terrorism. I want to thank those of you who have shown so much support and it has been my joy, short as it has been to have cracked that Mic open for a last time. This was a Family decision. The girls stuck with me and still would but if one of them were harmed because of what I love doing my life would be over.

The last time this happened 10 or so years ago:

I was a teacher and part time administrator at his high school. The accused molester was a substitute teacher. He was never in my class, but I had some dealings with the young man and found him to be a likable person.

The problem is Art doesn’t realize just how empty my life is.

Yes.
Though I do like George Noory, I’m sure this news triggers in him a huuuuuuuge relief for his ratings and career.
While he has great fences and a good security system, Art is just too accessible.
Part of the magic of his show was his No Caller Screening arrangement —yes, you often had total kooks call in, but often Art could magically weave fine gold thread out of a lot of it.
But then that is also the factor that made the “You’re a MOLESTER..!”-neo nazis feel they could harass Art for so long with such impunity.
Can you imagine being falsely accused like that and REPEATEDLY having to carry the show on, in exactly such a way as if such calls had NEVER come in...?
I don’t think even 3% of hosts could manage that, especially if their son had been recently molested by an HIV+ guy.
Thank G_d for the tape delay, right?
Long John Nebel, who did a similar type of radio show, was one of the first to use a tape-delay system in radio.

Tell me about it. I wake up (at 4am) to an alarm clock radio and it's tuned into the local station with the strongest signal which happens to be the one that carries Coast to Coast and I wake up to the most bizarre dreams

Remember the business/money man talk radio host that was popular back in the 1980s. I think his name was “Michael Jackson”. Tall guy. So popular that he was also making TV appearances. Probably the Dave Ramsey of the 80s.
Can you listen to Wells on Internet radio? (I’ve been listening to Art on ‘Tune In’.)

Three out of his seven shows per week are on UFO's.
