Indiatlantic, Florida residents woke up this morning to an usual sight: thousands of coffee cans littering their beachfront.
As reported by local news outlet FloridaToday, the bright yellow and red Cafe Bustelo cans began to wash ashore overnight, and continued to appear throughout the morning.
The vacuum-sealed containers attracted the attention of local caffeine fiends, who were spotted collecting the coffee by the bagful.
Authorities believe that the coffee originated on the Puerto Rico-bound shipping vessel Columbia Elizabeth, which lost as many as 25 shipping containers earlier this week. According to the Sun Sentinel, the lost cargo may include a potentially hazardous load of batteries; the Coast Guard is actively investigating the incident.
That gif is a keeper!
Damn, more coffee than you can haul away with a couple of large trash bags, washing up ashore!
My fave coffee. I’d be out there with wheelbarrows if need be. Lol
None so far, just Cubans............................B^)
It’s right down the street from my mother-in-law’s place! I hope she got some!........................
I missed the excitement and all the free Christmas gifts!
LOL, actually just North of the condo and slightly over the heads of the beach goers in the pic. That's MY BEACH!!
Welcome back
