The goal is to keep guns away from people convicted of violating laws protecting the entrances of health care clinics.
Senate Democrats plan to force a vote on keeping guns out of the hands of people convicted of violating laws protecting the entrances of health care clinics.
Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid has introduced the amendment, which would ban gun ownership by people who have been convicted of misdemeanors under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, a 1994 law meant to prevent violence and harassment at abortion clinics.

BINGO!!!
That's exactly my first thought when I first saw the damage inflicted on him by the "exercise machine". Love Rush but I thought his mob violence theory was far-fetched.
Introducing an amendment is not “forcing”. DUH!
He may be able to force a vote. The vote won’t pass and Republicans won’t experience any negative consequences for it.
And this would have stopped the San Bernadino killers how, exactly?
The leftist media will, as ususal, put as much spin as possible on this event as quickly as possible before all the facts become available-the facts that will almost certainly not support their false gun control narratives. Once those facts come in, their narrative is going to disintegrate and Harry Reid is going to be even more SOL with this amendment.
How about disarming muslims and those calling out Climate skeptics. That terrorist worked for socialist and green outfits: “According to his LinkedIn profile, Farook was a former business taxes representative for the California State Board of Equalization. He is a 2003 graduate La Sierra High School. The report also said Farook recently studied finance at California State University Fullerton until 2013.
Farook, 28, was currently an inspector for the San Bernardino County Environmental Health department and was attending the meeting/luncheon at the center. At some point, he was apparently asked to leave. It was unclear why”
there’s a lot that is unclear. It will be interesting watching the truth develop.

This is a two-fer: an attack on that pesky second amendment and the next move in the “War on Women” meme against the Republicans.
“A vote against this bill is a vote against women’s safety!”
The spineless Republicans, fearing they’ll be called bad names in the media will cave...and will still be called bad names in the media. Maybe one or two of them will win the coveted title of “moderate” from the lefties...until the next time they vote against a leftist bill.
They have held the line thus far and for good reason.
Reid and other Dems remind me of those rolling trash can Daleks in Dr Who screaming “Exploit!” any time they see a tragedy.
‘bout time for Harry to ‘slip’ while using his exercise equipment
Does the idiot think terrorists would comply?
Funny how Reid can “force” a vote when he is in the minority but he easily blocked such attempts when he was majority leader.
Are the Pub leaders that feckless? /rhetorical question
Ban registered Democrats from purchasing or possessing a gun. It may not end gun crime but it’d make a hell of a dent.
Leave it up to each state. It is not the business of the Federal Government.
Sit down and shut up, Harry. Like Mitch does.
