What About Drudge?
none | 12/1/2015 | me

Posted on 12/01/2015 12:42:43 PM PST by toomanylaws

Is it just me or do others wonder what the Drudge Report is up to? It seems like so many headlines and stories are more Hollywood BS and other unimportant things, than any relevant information that concerned people would care about. Did Drudge turn into Nero just fiddling while Rome (the rest of the world) burns? One of the first sites (also Free Republic) I go to is Drudge, but unfortunately it is not usually not very important.

That’s a heavy burden to BEAR. I hope he was on his hands and knees (doggy or bear style) so he didn’t hurt his back.

Drudge has always mixed politics with entertainment.

I emailed once about how it demeaned the integrity of his site, but, of course, he never answered.

Because when you've just about invented and own one whole internet category, you need to take advice from random internet critics.

Some people are not aware that Matt’s dad founded and runs (I assume still) the site RefDesk.com.
http://www.refdesk.com/index.html
Matt used to have a link to it on his main page and I remember him mentioning it some years ago. It was/is a popular home page for quick reference and I think Matt and his dad were pretty proud of each other — an admirable characteristic.

Matt Drudge, a one-man Samizdat, destroying the Nomenklatura and zampolits that retain them.

Technology:

Today you can be a gift-shop clerk or a Navy vet in a wheelchair...

AND DESTROY THE REGIME.

“And Beeks; what ever happened to Beeks?”

You’ll have to help me out; I have no clue what you are referring to.

Those who complain about Matt Drudge’s site may not appreciate the breadth of topics he tries to provide for the widest audience appeal.
He has Plenty of conservative news on a daily basis.
He’s done a tremendous job countering the left on many controversial subjects, such as AGW Climate Change, Hillary & Obama scandal and wrong doing, BLM violence, and illegal immigration.
Drudge has also been relucantly recognized as being one of the most balanced news sources according to a PEW media study.
Drudge is a great place to check daily, second only to FR!

As a news hound, and current events addict, I stop by DRUDGE at least a half dozen times a day....

Frankly I believe that Matt Drudge is a TRUE AMERICAN HERO....

So what if he likes Hollywood stuff.....his other information is invaluable....he’s done more to acknowledge issues that concern us conservatives than anyone else.

If you are familiar with Drudge than you are aware that he happens to invite emails.

I suggest you buy a clue you jackass.

Exagerated sense of self importance aggravated by a lack of self control. I recommend you read Patterns of Psychosexual Infantilism by Wilhelm Stekel. It a side splitter.

Excellent summation. To me Drudge is an American treasure. I end up reading stories and learning things I wouldn’t otherwise because I read his site several times a day. I don’t have, nor would I take, the time required to find most of the stories Matt posts. I wish sometimes he were faster with breaking news, but he gets it soon enough.

The Hollywood stuff doesn’t interest me too much, but I’ll click now and then, I’m not morally smug! I really want to not get any satisfaction out of Charlie Sheen’s self-created pitiful situation, but, well, it’s just hard not to watch a train wreck now and then.

Unless we’re paying attention, we may miss some of Matt’s messages. Important ones.

Thanks for your post.
