~ Texans ~
Well got another couple picks that I think Miss
Pats over Black birds err I mean Eagles LOL!
Sorry cousin your Niners go down against Da Bears
WEEK 13
Dec. 3
Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions 8:25 The Packers are reeling, having lost four of five, including one to the Lions at Lambeau three weeks ago. Can they lose to the Lions twice in one season? When is the last time that happened? But hold on... I don't think the Pack has all of a sudden become that bad, nor have the Lions become that good despite their 45-point output last week. Packers!
Dec. 6
Houston Texans at Buffalo Bills 1 The Texans are making a playoff push and JJ Watt is on a tear. The Bills are fading. They will continue to fade. Texans.
San Francisco 49ers at Chicago Bears 1 Ah, the Niners. Just three years removed from the Super Bowl when their new young QB looked like the next... Steve Young? Bobby Douglas? Bubby Brister? Now he looks like a bust and may very well have played his last game for the Niners and has been replaced by... Blaine Gabbert! The Bears keep showing life. Will they make the playoffs? Maybe. John Fox seems to have lit a fire under them and even Jay Cutler is playing well. And they're happy to see the Niners come to town. Da Bears win.
Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns 1 Bengals have recovered from that two-game losing streak, and the Browns, well, they showed Monday night they are still the Browns. How can a team undergo thirty consecutive rebuilding seasons? And never get anywhere? Johnny Football will be back as starter out of necessity. It won't make any difference. Bengals.
Baltimore Ravens at Miami Dolphins 1 Matt Schaub started for the Nevermores last week, and threw his obligatory pick-six, as well as another INT that should have cost the Ravens the game. Against all logic, I'm thinking he will benefit from last week's start and play better against the Phish. Ravens.
Seattle Seahawks at Minnesota Vikings 1 Have the 'Hawks turned a corner? Big win against the Steelers, overcoming the fact that they have no pass defense. The Vikes' formula for winning is (1) don't ask too much of Teddy Bridgewater and (2) run the hell out of Peterson and (3)play good D. I think the Seahawks will shut down AP to make Bridgewater beat them, which he is not capable of doing. Seahawks.
Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints 1 The 'Aints have been Awful. No way they raise up and knock the Panthers from the unbeaten rank. Carolina gets to 12 - 0. Panthers.
New York Jets at New York Giants 1 In the words of Tom Coughlin, the Jints 'sleptwalk' through a loss to the Redskins last week. And they were coming off a bye, with the opportunity to take over the NFC Least. They couldn't get fired up for that? Instead.... well they're behind the Deadskins. Jets on the other hand need a win badly to stay in the playoff chase in the AFC, and Ryan Fitzpatrick is having a career year. Jay - Eee - Tee - Ess. Jets!
Arizona Cardinals at St. Louis Rams 1 Was liking the Rams long long ago in a season that seems far, far away. What was I thinking? A couple of good wins does not a season make. The Cards are playing great and that will continue Sunday. Cardinals.
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1 Another team for which the start of the season, and a 5 - 0 record, seems a long time ago. From 5 - 0 to 6 - 5... quite a drop-off. Jameis Winston has had a couple of spectacular games but as expected for a rookie, consistency has been a problem. The Falcons get back on track in Tampa. Falcons.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans 1 Sorry, but I just cannot pick the Jaguars. Evah! Unless they were playing Alabama, and even then I would have qualms. Titans.
Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders 4:05 Chiefs have gone from 1 - 5 to 6 - 5 and have the big mo on their side for a playoff push. The Raiders are better than they were a year ago and are improving. This shapes up as an old-time AFC West game (without Len Dawson and Willie Lanier and Hank Stram in his coat-and-tie or Darryl Lamonica and Ben Davidson and John Madden in his Raiders shirt. No Jan Stenerud or George Blanda either.). I like Kan-Sas City! Chiefs!
Denver Broncos at San Diego Chargers 4:05 Hey, maybe Brock Osweiler isn't Peyton Manning, but who is? He's better than Peyton Manning 2016 though. Yes, the Broncos got the benefit of some questionable calls last week, but that happens to every team over the course of the season. The Chargers... Despite a brief flash of competence they don't have enough to beat the Broncs. Broncos.
Philadelphia Eagles at New England Patriots 4:25 The Eagles are reeling. This team won 10 games just last season. Guess all those personnel moves made by Chip Kelly aren't working out so well. I think the Pats may have signed a couple of receivers from a pick-up game at the tailgate party outside Gillette Stadium, their regular receiver corps being so banged up. It won't matter against the woebegone Iggles. Patriots.
Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers* 8:30 Will Matt Hasselbeck continue his second life in replacement of Andrew Luck? Steelers put up some monster numbers against the Seahawks last week, but still lost. Is Big Ben playing? For some reason I like the Colts. Colts.
Dec. 7 Pearl Harbor Day. Let us not forget!
Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins 8:30 Back in the preseason this looked like a good Monday-night match-up. But without Romo the 'Boys are simply not the same team (maybe the departure of Murray also factors into that). Meanwhile the Redskins - yes, the Burgundy-and-Gold, the Redskins, or to be PC, the Potomac River Basin Indigenous Peoples - are atop the NFC East entering the Week 12 games. Who'd have thunk it?! And based on the additional factoid that they haven't lost at home this season, I like 'em. Redskins.
Alabama beats Florida in the SEC Champioship gamr...
Iowa beats Michigan State in the Big 10 championship...
Clemson beats UNC in the ACC championship...
And even though there are no national championship implications, Stanford beats USC in the PAC-12 championship...
The Lions are gonna beat the Packers again.
The mercury must be falling in hell.
Farooq and wifey bumped the thermostat on their way down.
I jinxed em! Hail Mary full of grace! You’re welcome, Big. Sorry, Gator.
It was not to be! A miracle Hail Mary wins the game. But the Packers are not going anywhere playing like this.
At least DET is playing better lately. I wonder if it’s enough for Caldwell to keep his job though?

Would you believe I fell asleep when it was 20-14 and only woke up when I heard that touchdown call.
I'll have to watch the second half on the NFL Network later today.
