Had to do it. Had to create the thread. The game is too damned good. This thread is reserved for hardcore gamers who play Fallout 4. Norm, KC, TADSLOS and I have hijacked so many threads discussing this game, I felt we needed our own thread.
Fallout 4 is amazing. The content is excessively large. There is so much to explore, you could replay this game 10 times and not find every mission or quest. The characters are so much better fleshed out than any other game I have played. Even the radio announcer of Diamond City Radio will have you doubling over in laughter, he's so inept at radio announcing. :) Your companions will pitch in with consistently new, sometimes insightful, and almost always area- or mission appropriate comments. I even got Piper (the hot Reporter chick) to sleep with me. It took a lot of sweet talking. But now she's in love. "Piper, how do you feel about our relationship?" Her answer: "Blue, this is as close to nirvana as I will ever find. Who knew a jaded reporter like me would find love in a wasteland?"
Fallout 4 is so graphics-intensive that I had to upgrade my video card to the GTX970 from Nividia, and I am so glad I did. 4 gigs of video memory, and a solid GPU array. Now I get 60 FPS (at the best) down to about 30 FOS (at the worst) with occasional dips to an unacceptable 24 FPS when in extremely busy, high clutter city areas with lots of combatants.
Our first topic: I want to mod the songs. I want change the Classical Radio Station to play songs I like.
I have six titles so far, that would fit in this game:
Filter's "Hey Man, Nice Shot" to be triggered during combat
Drowning Pool's "Let The Bodies Hit The Floor", also triggered during combat.
Lil Jon's "Turn Down For What"
Disturbed's "Down With The Sickness"
NIN's "Every Day Is Exactly The Same"
Any other suggestions?
Locally."
Okay, I'm ditzing out. I have to know, lol.
BTW on the FFNudity thing. You are likely unaware of one of the Skyrim mods that will have a counterpart of it does not already and it’s just the thing for you to play in fallout.
The Nude World mod.
No one has any clothes or armor. You may have to wait till the male bodies are ‘upgraded’ to have a truly naked experience but it won’t be much longer.
Had to violate my conscience and install Win 10 to deal with some problems that have plagued me for a year I got sick of dealing with. It was a lesser evil ;)
In several programs, the mouse/trackball would not click/activate or select. There is mention of it on the various Win 7 boards and it seems unsolvable and not a virus I got from a robot porn site. I’d never isolated which anyway...I go to so many...
A few people have encountered this issue but no one has ever tracked down the cause and God knows we all tried.
So far so good. Everything works. Seems like a good interface. Familiar but new.
What pushed me over the edge was my Radeon control software was among the impacted programs. Normally I leave it alone. There’s a couple/three pieces of individual software to it. The one I was playing with/learning about was the one I’ll need to use for the 390 Crossfire upgrade next week. To actually enable Crossfire in settings. So obviously a fix was needed immediately rather than having a card sitting there turned off. And I figured after a year of effort failing to find one, a few days was not gonna yield a Win 7 solution.
Now to de-NSA as much of this factory spyware riddled mess as I can and keep my robot porn stash away from Obama... Let him get his own.

Unfortunately true. But hope springs eternal...
Laz, please add me to the fallout ping list. Thanks.
Who needs VATS mode when you have...Reba II ;)
I hear that. The only time I use VATS is when I accidentally strike that key in battle. My favorite weapons are the .44 handgun and .50 caliber sniper. The in-between range guns vary wildly.
I came across the Reba the other night but left it there after the quest as I was loaded up but got sidetracked before going back.
In 3 and NV I was a Plasma rifle guy but this trip I Modded up a shotgun and mostly use it and a 50 cal. There is much joy in ghoul hunting with a shotgun.
Just got a rail gun/Gauss Rifle with boosted caps thats pretty beastly so it’s slowly replacing the Fiddy. Recon scopes rule.
I wanna know how many people understand the “Reba” reference. Us 80s/90s guys and gals might but I doubt young bucks will.
I also wanna know where the “Burt” is. If in fact there is one. but it would stand to reason if there’s a Reba.
“Consider it stepped on” ;)
OMG am I loving this game. Reba and I are having a grand old time at the Corvega plant!
I didn’t realize, till she came into my life, you can bypass the VATS percentages by aiming manually.
Being a sneaky bastard is soooo satisfying.
It is great isn’t it? There’s a reason Pornhub lost traffic since the release of F4 ;) No joke. There was an article on it.
Every Beth release results in lonely wives/husbands. Never fails. These games are good. The thing I find interesting is that the very same folks that deride gamers for spending hours in these virtual worlds have zero issue plopping in front of the very same TV to drool for hours over football or American “idle.”
And I say it partly in jest, partly in seriousness, but with America in the state it is politically, who WOULDN’T want a release from that insanity? Even if it is just a game?
Hook me up to the matrix. I’m fine with it.
The Adventures if Volarian Lionheart, Hero of the People (Trademark applied for)...in...
“Getting Nexus Mod Manager sorted in prep for the upgrading!”
Catchy title huh?
If you fellow Heroes of the People ever decide to mod across multiple games, do yourselves a favor and get your stuff together FIRST.
This isn’t a Nexus issue, it’s a Normie issue. For while, as you know, I am a legendary Dragonborn hero and bringer of light to the darkness of the wastes and 45 other various honorifics, I also have a Dragonborn’s level of file management IE: I’m really bad at file management.
Really. Did I mention I suck at it? Because I do.
There is the Nexus way, and there is the Normie way. Go with the Nexus way. My problem was in not doing that to begin with. Or for the last 3 years. So today is to be a fun exercise in getting 40 gig of Skyrim mods moved to the right place for Mod Manager to work as they intended it and not lose anything. And ALSO get everything backed up so I can find it/replace things easily as updates come available or required. It will get TeH dragon thick skull straight for the F4 modding to come.
Trust me on this. Do it right the first time.
I suffer...
Yours truly,
Volarian.

One of the big complaints in Fallout 4 Forums is that you can accidentally de-assign a resource when you assign someone to a task. Let's say someone is assigned to farming. Then you assign him to defense. You lose the farming assignment and there's no way to tell who's already assigned to what.
Enter my system.
Use a particular piece of clothing to denote each role. I found there are four roles a person may be involved in, in Fallout 4, with regards to a settlement:
1) Farming: I make farmers use bandanas. (The unexplained backstory is they use the bandanas to keep dust out of their mouths and lungs).
2) Defense: Anyone assigned to defense gets a full suit of combat armor, very easy to see, very uniform in appearance, and helps the settler with their armor class during attacks.
3) Provisioner (supply line). These folks are a lot easier to tell, what with the pack brahamin and the fact they are labeled 'Provisioner' when you focus on them. Still, I give them all hats.
4) Shopkeepers: They all get eyeglasses or sunglasses.
No one else in town is allowed to wear these items, enforced by my noticing when new people enter town and swapping items with them (and off them).
It's a system that has worked very well for me so far.
That’s pretty neat. I’m just beginning to appropriate something similar.
I’m only up to level 50, but have found battles getting a little too easy, so I bumped difficulty up to hard. It didn’t make much difference, so I may bump up again pretty soon.
Makes sense.
All your settlers wear clothes?
Grab a gaus rifle and go shoot some water. Splashie splashie!
It’s the little things that make me haZ happieZ...
YER LEVEL 50 ALREADY???!?
I’m only 38. I’m already at hard so I might need to go to survival mode.
I liked the sounds of the bullets whizzing past. :)
