I have Netflix but am thinking of getting the Amazon video service.

How much does it cost?

How much did you like that series..?

What I read was the book’s author tried to write a sequel that never was finished.

I also read the Amazon series is very loosely based on the book so expect differences.

Just watched the last episode myself last night.

Really a shocking conclusion. I have a ton of questions which will not be answered until next season.

The series has been well received so there should be a season two.

Book and show have different endings. Plots were a little different too. Just finished the show. Liked it very much, but found it unsettling. A few “good guys”, but wow...different feel from almost everything else. I read that the author basically used random chance ( the I Ching) to decide what happened to characters.

There has to be a second season. This show was good enough to turn Amazon into a “TV Network”

The story isn’t over.
In the book, Julia seemingly transitions to an alternate reality, while the Trade Minister sees it but stays where he is. And Frink starts making jewelry again.
We haven’t met the man in the high castle, which happens in the book, and Joe dying didn’t occur, which might be a plot change.

Over a half century ago, I received the book via the Science Fiction Book Club. At about the same time, I read a review of it in Analog (FKA Astounding) by P. Schuyler Miller saying something like, “Here, I suspect, is the Hugo Award winner for the best science fiction novel.”

I attempted to read it, was bored, and set it aside. I attempted the same thing 50 years later and the result was the same. The book remains on my bookstand awaiting another attempt.

I was, however, able to read The World the Jones Made, The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldrich (twice!), and Ubik (that some consider his masterpiece).

I guess I’m doing something wrong. :)

Relax. It’s just the season ending. The show will continue in season two. The Grasshopper Lies Heavy.
