The Mizzou protest has sparked a lot of controversy all across the country even right here in our own backyard, this time in Statesboro, Georgia. If youâve missed whatâs been happening at Missouri University hereâs a brief timeline:
September 12, 2015 â Student government complained about the bigotry and anti-gay sentiment which gained national attention. October 4th, 2015 â Caucasian student removed from an event strictly for black students and uttered, âthese niggers are getting aggressive with meâ while being removed. November 3rd, 2015 â Student Jonathan Butler vowed not to eat until the president of the school resigned. November 7th, 2015 â Football players vowed to not participate until president resigned possibly costing $1,000,000 loss in school revenue. November 9th, 2015 â Mizzou president resigns You can read more into the Mizzou Protest here.
Shortly after, a Georgia Southern student named, Emily Faz responded to all of the controversy on Facebook. Her post caused a major backlash amongst the African-American community at Georgia Southern, so much that she has now become a social media hashtag, see #EmilyFaz.

She’s student.
.
These are Obama’s sons and daughters, who are ALL THUGS!!
Apparently, black lives should matter to everyone else except blacks. Otherwise, why do they keep killing one another?
She is SO not guilty!
Facebook claims another one.
Wow, she won’t have any trouble getting another job.
Fired or kicked out?
She’s a student. I don’t see any threats in her posts. Just truthful observations.
Not guilty, but this doesn’t impress the American people in places like MO.
How does a student get fired?
She got fired from her job at Buffalo Wild Wings; it's at the bottom of the story. Could be her rip on Black Lives Matter. Could be her slam at Muslims. Either way she posted herself out of a job.
Fired from her off campus job.
I can’t boycott WildWings because I wouldn’t eat there anyway.
I believe she’s a student at Georgia Southern which seems to be a fairly conservative school.
Okay.
I missed that.
Thanks.
excellent!
