Jindal came off as a stand up guy on Baier’s show.
I guess you didn’t see it, because he has dispatched state troopers to watch the 14 Syrian refugees in LA (one of whom is now in DC).
Jindal has done the right thing with dignity and class.
He will be be in the mix in the Trump Administration.

But he did not have the persona/character to make it in the big leagues.
That may be true chronologically, and you could say that Jindal's statement about arresting sanctuary city mayors was motivated by all the publicity Trump got, but it's always been easier to criticize sanctuary city policies than to push for bigger changes in federal immigration policy, so I wouldn't assume Jindal's stand against sanctuary cities was motivated by Trump and wasn't his own.
Btw, I think Jindal was compared to Gomer Pyle, not Fife.

Curtatone's arrogant mindset isn't one I'd endorse or promote.
Of course it was. In fact, if it were not for Trump, no one on the stage would even be disguising illegals or our never ending violent lawless borders.

Jindal wouldn’t have called for sanctuary city mayors to be arrested if he weren’t trying to out-Trump Donald Trump — that’s true — but Republican politicians and platforms have been against sanctuary cities for a long time — maybe even since Donald Trump was a Democrat.
This is what happens when you hook up with Rove and the GOPe to try to get ahead.

Jindal is a good guy, and would still be light years ahead of anything with a (D) after it’s name.

Nice man. Decent governor. But he is right. This is not his time. And he may have to get used to the idea that the presidency is not part of his destiny.
Jindal was my 3rd or 4th, but now I hope, and suspect his support goes to Cruz. I know it’s not much but every little bit helps ;)!
