The Dixie Chicks are returning to touring in a big way.
The country-music trio, which has won 13 Grammy Awards and sold 30 million albums, will hit the road in June for a North American concert trek that will visit more than 40 cities.
The group's DCX MMXVI World Tour will start June 1 in Cincinnati and conclude Oct. 10 at the Hollywood Bowl. The tour will include four other California stops, including a July 15 date at Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Chula Vista. All tour dates and ticket on-sale dates appear below.
It will mark the Dixie Chicks' first major road trip since 2013 and their first U.S. tour in a decade, and will follow 13 European concert dates scheduled for next spring. The group's most recent album, "Taking the Long Way Home," was released in 2006. It won five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. In the interim, lead singer Natalie Maines released a solo album, 2013's "Mother," while fellow Chicks Emily Robison and Martie Maguire released two albums as the Court Yard Hounds.
Have the Dixie Chicks maintained a large fan base? Live Nation, the promoters of the tour and the owner of Sleep Train Amphitheatre, is betting the group does.
Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday for a majority of the tour dates by phone at (800) 746-3000 and online at livenation.com and ticketmaster.com(although the group's tour dates may not appear on those websites until later Monday morning).
An online pre-sale starts Wednesday at 10 a.m. for Citi card-holders. It will be preceded by a Tour Club pre-sale for the group's fan club members and a VIP ticket pre-sale, both of which begun Tuesday at 10 a.m.
The tour was announced Monday morning, with all the dates appearing on the group's website and a link to the dates appearing on the trio's Twitter page, where the Chicks also posted a brief video about the tour. No ticket prices have been announced as yet.
I will not be attending their concert - or listening to any station that plays even one of their songs. It’s time to remind my local stations of that detail.
The biggest problem is saying their opinion overseas. It does not matter that they actually were correct in saying Iraq was a mistake. They should have said it at home if they thought that. Everyone today even on here thinks Iraq at least should be been conducted differently.....Like no PC nonsense.
It has gotten so I just don't want to know peoples politics anymore.
No thanks I will buy tickets to the wonders.
The smell of war is strong.
Never let a crisis go to waste.
They only get AirPlay on the Outlaw channel on XM/Sirius radio
XM radio with few exceptions is run by libtard idiots and DJs like Earl Bailey and that old woman on Vinyl who think we all agree with their crap
If not for that there would be no Dixie Chicks
Boy they sure squandered success
Shooter Jennings is not a super libtard on Outlaw
Maines leftism goes way beyond just that
Don't forget the Indian casinos, too!
Their diss on America (and that’s what it was) could possibly be forgiven, if asked. We are a very forgiving people.
1. They never asked.
2. The way they lashed out at their fans, when they were clearly in the wrong, can’t or at least won’t be forgiven.
3. Maines said the group didn’t need their fans. She was mistaken. Her fans don’t need them.
4. Yesterday, Sirius/XM The Blend played Landslide by Dixie Chicks. Three seconds in, when I realized it wasn’t Stevie Nicks, I changed the channel. 14 plus years later, they only play on my radio for a few seconds.
T5hey’re calling it the “Immaterial Girls” tour.
How pc can that name be... Dixie chicks... Wrong on so many levels
Appearing in a phone booth near you!
Oh great.
Last time there were some warnings about the Dippy Twits, we had a troll named horsewhisper show up to defend them.
Then he claimed he wasn’t.
Seems he thought nobody could see or find his earlier posts.
I was a huge fan, and they were the biggest thing in country music when Maines imploded. First she seemed to be upset that Toby Keith won Songwriter of the Year, then the whole sh*tty comment about the president while being paid to sing.
When the backlash wasn’t going away, they spit on country music fans, making fun of several country acts.
Have you heard of a new country singer named Cam? She has a song called “Burning House”. When I first heard it, I thought the Dixie Chicks had put out a new song and changed the channel. After I looked it up, I found it wasn’t them, and am loving it now.
The left said they were “courageous”, courage would have been saying it while performing at the Texas state fair.
No, the biggest problem is saying their opinion onstage when they weren’t asked about it. If someone asked them in an interview, they could say whatever they want. But the people at the shows paid to hear your music, not your opinions, and remember that probably at least half of them have different opinions than yours.
I’m ashamed that the dixie dogs were born in the same country as I was.
Boy they sure squandered success

Each of the 3 members of the band has a net worth of more than 40 million dollars.
That sure screams squandered success.
gutterwhore alert..........
