With the Litchfield hills and Connecticut in our rear-view mirror as we move our 101-year-old manufacturing company to South Carolina, we are nostalgic, excited, and disappointed.

Same thing in New York. Small manufacturing plants can’t survive because of the exact same reasons. Looked into moving a small plant couldn’t justify costs yet but haven’t looked at South Carolina.

Yup. This story is right on target. This used to be a great state but in the 15 years I’ve lived here it’s gone down hill. I’m lucky enough to still have a job and nearing retirement but may have to tell my son to move south young man.
