Or you could stick with Win7 or 8.1, at least for a while...
That reminds me... Please, does anyone know how to CHANGE the default for Windows 10 to update itself without my consent?
When the time comes I would like to decide the date myself.
There are even suggestions that the strange Freeper bug affecting Freeper "quote" posts is the result of a recent Office 360 Word update that was pushed onto all our computers.
I wish I had stuck with Windows 8.1 (or even 7 before that). I finally upgraded to 10 because I got sick of the nag screens I kept getting. I regretted it almost immediately and still do.
I've had two Win10 machines lose the task-bar now... Frozen stiff (even safe)... Still have desktop, but no Start, no Win+Run... No good fix for it that I have found, though when the second one started going hinky, I dropped a shortcut to CMD and FileExplorer on the desktop, which made navigation and repair more possible (you can get to Win 10 'settings' in the ribbon of the file Explorer), and can get to the win 7 control panel from cmdline - Still it took a soft rebuild (saved my data and that's all) from Win 10 Settings to fix it...
Anyone know how to turn on the F8 safe mode selection on boot? What moron got rid of that?
That last one was my main server here at the house... Already took my test bench boxes back to Win7, and I seriously thought about re-installing that server to Win7 too (and certainly will if it happens again). It's already been weird about sharing anyway. Getting sick of it.
Ain't too happy. Knew better too.
