It’s extremely open world. It has a ton of content.
What is this Fallout game. An on-line game?
*plugs ears*
La la la la
*closes eyes*
I’m not listening!
*runs into wall*
Fallout 1 and 2, especially the soundtrack ;) F3 didn’t do it for me and it was just a copycat for even Final fantasy and Elder scrolls. OK, time to go now before i finally admit I;m an otaku..
It’ll rot your brain then you’ll vote for Trump!
;^)
My son wants it for XBox One. Just got him COD Black Ops III which he has been playing a lot.
I will kill the bear with my bare hands.
Do you really wish to kill the bear with your bare hands?
Yes.
You have killed the bear. You will find a large pot of gold behind the dead carcass of the bear. Put it in your bag of holding and continue your Adventure.
There should be some youtube videos of the game you can watch and get a feel for it-
I know you said you don’t like open world games, but have you tried Stalker? It’s not as eye candy rich as some games, but it’s a heck of a lot of fun- it is linear in a sense that you have several options you can choose from to advance the storyline- and you need to complete tasks to advance- but it’s open world inthat you don’t need to complete the tasks in any given order, and can go and explore the countryside as you see fit- just watch our for the pseudo dogs and snorks- and blood suckers- creatures that came about as a result of radiation poisoning from Chernobyl meltdown
The game is quite eerie with it’s great music and sound effects too- and you’ll find yourself jumping from fright a lot
Give it a look at youtube- it’s loads of fun
Looks like it’s mostly desert. I’d like a wider variety of locations. Extraordinary things happening in ordinary locations is really fun. Watch_Dogs, Deus Ex and the later Half-Life versions did it well.
I have to give FO4 a little more time as I only have about 2 hours of game time with it. At this point I’m not too impressed. The game is clearly ported from it’s console design. In part, the graphics show this.
As has been noted previously, I get about 4 optional responses that all lead to the identical game result. What’s the purpose of that other than to slow down game play.
I’ve played Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas and FO4 seems different so far, not as much fun as I remember, but as I said, I only have about 2 hours into it, so I need to give it more time. It just doesn’t quite feel immersive yet.
It’s gonna inhale mass quantities of time.
Great so far. Feels like Fallout on roids, looks like Bioshock Infinite.
Worth the wait and $$$.
Looking forward to the second playthrough so I can minigun Piper outside Diamond city and avoid her entirely.
Lydia she ain’t...
Other Freepers have, and it sounds Amazing and Ton of Fun!
just watched a fallout vid on youtube, looks like it is a bit like stalker- but seems like it has too much dialogue for my taste- game looks like bit of am ix between dues ex and stalker
I think I would prefer stalker- as it has more of an apocalyptic radiation wasteland feel to it and no robots- just weird mutated creatures— But I would probably get fallout 4 as it’s quite similar to stalker, and stalker isn’t making any new games anymore- it seems-
I like checkers.
I’m only a few hours into Fallout 4 so it’s early yet. So far, it starts out slow. My trigger finger and alertness are on high, expecting the enemies and difficulties encountered on other first person shooters. That seems to be an overkill at this point. But Fallout 3 was just as slow, New Vegas a little better.
As to graphics, my video card is mid range of the specs (and I have pretty strong card) and the graphics are okay. Bethesda has said they didn’t go full tilt toward graphics in the game because other uses of processor power did more for the game than superb graphics.
If you don’t like free range RPGs, you won’t like Fallout.
As another poster has pointed out, you really need to play STALKER. All of them. There are three or four different game titles which all fit together but can be played separately. Playing as a Russian, you might freak at first when you have to kill NATO troops, heh, but that goes along with the high intensity gameplay of what I think is the best FPS/action game out there today.
A bonus for playing Stalker is that since it has been out for quite a while, if you can find it for sale, it might be really cheap. I think I only paid twelve dollars for one of the Stalker titles.
