San Diego State University has axed its longtime tradition of naming a homecoming "king" and "queen," and this year will go with the gender-neutral term "royals," the Daily Aztec campus newspaper reports.
As recently as last year SDSU named a homecoming "king" and "queen" during its annual football game, according to the universityâs website. But this Saturday when the Aztecs take on the University of Wyoming Cowboys, the Royal Court will end up with the "final two Royals," the website adds. More like the lack thereof...
I always just use LGBTQWERTY since they will eventually include all of the letters in the alphabet.
When they start going for those script characters that were infecting FR, that’s when it’ll really get confusing
Isn’t the term ‘Royals’ classism?
Think again SDSU.
Well, now I am offended at the use of ‘royals’. That is so colonial. Didn’t we take care of that around 1776 with a declaration of separation from the King?
Use of ‘royals’ should be considered un-PC!!!!
Yet another accommodation to the Homosexual Mafia currently exerting themselves so mightily to destroy America.
I think “queen” could be re-imagined in a gay-friendly way.
the Daily Aztec campus newspaper reports.??
AZTEC??? isnt that...RACESS?
Chilled monkey brains anyone?
I’ll bet one of these “royals” is gonna be a queen anyway.
wink wink - nudge nudge.
I haven’t had any Jello that is red in color since I saw that many moons ago.
