Lesser evil Freepers would disagree.

Once you hit a certain level of Liberal it doesn’t really matter. Amnesty put both far beyond the line of suck.

This veteran is the one totally lacking in integrity. It has bought the lies of the liberal attack-dog media, as have many others.

Carson was not an “admitted” black student. I have a very strong suspicion he never had a conversation with Westmoreland, either. Could he have gotten in to West Point if he had applied? In all likelihood he could have, just as Affirmative Action got him into Yale.

Odd, when I point out the stupidity of you pushing lesser evil on a conservative forum to conservatives, you get yourself worked up into a quite frothing snit.

According to the most recent rewrite of Politco's hit piece on Carson:

Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson on Friday conceded that he never applied nor was granted admission to West Point and attempted to recast his previous claims of a full scholarship to the military academy - despite numerous public and written statements to the contrary over the last few decades.

The problem is that Carson has always said that he never applied to West Point. Carson very explicitly stated in his 1996 biography, Gifted Hands, that he only applied to a single college, Yale, because he could only afford to apply to one college.

"An ironic situation faced me in the fall of 1968, for most of the top colleges in the country had contacted me with offers and enducements. However, each college required a ten-dollar non-returnable entrance fee sent with the application. I had exactly ten dollars, so I could apply only to one."

His statement (on the previous page of the the very same biography) that he was "offered" a scholarship to West Point fell under the same category as the other "offers and enducements" that he received from multiple colleges that he had not applied to yet.

He then goes on to write how he decided to apply to Yale and not to Harvard or West Point.

It is no different from the "offers" of low interest rate loans that fill all of our spam folders. All you have to do to get the loan is apply for the loan, fill out a lengthy credit application, and get accepted.

I did freakishly well on my SAT. My grades, however, were mediocre. As soon as my SAT score was released I started receiving an endless stream of "offers" of admission and scholarships from colleges that never would have admitted me if I had applied.

I am no Carson apologist. When this story first came out I posted that he was toast. I still don't intend to vote for him. I just believe that blatant media lies against any conservatives should be fully exposed.

Carson was the top ROTC student for the Detroit area.

It is going to get a lot more uncomfortable for Carson. He has embellished his life story with too many implausible tales.

I imagine this vet knows that the story about Carson having a conversation with Westmoreland is B.S. Westmoreland was not in Detroit when Carson says this conversation took place.

Sure he is. He is aligned with Rubio’s gang of 8 leftists as he supports illegals and Bloomberg’s gun control leftism as he’s for selective disarmament.

Each of those issues puts him as a clear and present danger to the safety of children, women and everyone else. Unless you’d like to argue it doesn’t. Because those are positions he holds.

Then that confirms it. The author, like the poster of this garbage, has absolutely no integrity. Complete wastes of human flesh.

West Point never made Carson an offer. Period. He might have gotten one if he had applied, but he didn’t, so why say he got one when he didn’t?

Try not to project the filth of these two onto the candidacy of Sen. Cruz. Not all of us Cruz supporters take the MSM line against Dr
Carson.

The Guardian is a far-left rag.

Even a liberal rag can be useful trying to piece together truthful facts. I didn't know a reliable source for the brutal manner it was said Gaddafi was treated. I found it here:

Gaddafi's Last Moments . . .

"one fighter crouched in the dirt behind the frightened captive and sodomised him with a bayonet"

The reason I needed it is I posted about Hillary's interview laughing about it, we all know the quote now. And it has gotten even worse. Hillary is getting a pass, and a lot of what happened in Libya was her doing as attested by the emails.

Her advisor Sid Blumenthal was instrumental in persuading Hillary to persuade Obama we needed a regime change in Libya. They own it, and if they want to blame Bush for Iraq, well Libya is now a disaster just as bad. And it can be used against her in political ads. And it's true.

I can cut Carson some slack about the West Point thing because they are saying even the downloaded app refers to the "all expenses paid" as a scholarship, or did at one point. If he never personally met with Westmoreland, a group meeting would be fine, but if it never happened, that's pretty egregious in my book.

The supplement testimonial business bothers me, too, kind of blew it off at first. If PBS, another liberal organ, has a testimonial, well just because he wasn't on the regular payroll of this whatever company doesn't mean he didn't have significant involvement with it whether financially or not, that part I don't remember what I read about it.

Now the Yale hoax story is bothering me. When all is said and done, what university has burned final exams and creates a hoax type situation as a basis on which to substitute at least in part for determining the final grade? I don't believe Yale would do it to satisfy a final exam. I'm not sure a professor would give a student $10 for being honest. I can see a professor slipping a student $10 just to help out a little though on a personal basis. It's probably frowned on helping students with money in these times. Who knows?

I would be remiss not to mention the hitting his mother with a hammer or the attempted stabbing incident because the internet is aflame with that, too. It disturbs me that he would even think of taking a claw hammer to his mother no matter how angry he was or stab someone. It is my understanding a family member prevented him from actually hitting his mother, and the stabbing incident he hit a NG belt buckle. I won't excuse growing up in poverty for that, and I do understand pent up emotions. It concerns me that maybe he didn't really conquer that tendency but rather could have repressed it which then likely manifests in some other behavior, exactly what I don't know. So FReepers may have to take that head on in the next few days if not already, can't know every thread going.

I wouldn't have supported Carson anyway, and I don't like the way the media are acting like a bunch of sharks smelling blood in the water because this is the same treatment they give all our candidates, especially how they treated Sarah Palin.

And yes, Hillary is our enemy who would be dangerous in this geopolitical climate as her proven track record worse then a war hawk. Laughing over somebody vanquished is just not something presidential. And there are many more reasons not to trust her.

We need someone who can beat her. Carson is not the one. I don't feel real good about any of ours to beat her. There's something wrong with all of ours but that could be my age and higher expectations talking. So I will settle for whoever is most likely to beat Hillary.

Hey ... I’m clearly on record advising Ted Cruz to “reverse” his stand on H1B Visas ...

Senator Ted Cruz 2016 : ABANDON the Political SUICIDE of Increasing H1B Visas (An Open Letter)

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3355516/posts

At the end of the day, Ted Cruz is still my candidate ... Deal with It ...

As I keep saying, Dr. Ben Carson is a “nice guy”, but “absolutely” NOT qualified to be POTUS.

And when one looks at Ben Carson’s evolving “progressive agenda”, it’s gotta raise questions.

Certainly, the next GOP Presidential Debate (Nov-10) should be a barn-burner.

Meanwhile, perhaps you can (personally) fork-over the “Citzenship Tip” that Ben Carson says America OWES to those 15 million illegal workers.

I ... and about 75 million Conservatives ... REFUSE Ben Carson’s “lunatic” political idea ...

What in your wallet ?

When you think about it - Carson supports TPP and Puerto Rican statehood. Why is the left attacking him? Because he's a black off the reservation.

Exactly.

There is nothing that the Democrats hate more than uppity blacks who deign to think for themselves and leave the Democrat plantation.

I do not support Carson for a number of reasons. Basically, I think that he is far too liberal and inexperienced. However, I refuse to jump on the Democrat and lamestream media bandwagon that is trying to lynch him.

I hope that Carson and Fiorina both stick around at least until the early primaries, because they interfere with the Democrat "war on women and minorities" narrative. That is why the Democrats and the lamestream media hate them so much.
