It they never went then who set up the reflector?

Ya know, the Soviet unmanned landings and retrievals had smaller arrays of French Corner Reflectors attached (than what the Apollo guys set up).

So the Soviet reflectors could not be there either.

NAH! Those were set up by a joint venture advance team of CIA and Hollywood special FX people who went to the Moon in 1968 to scout locations and set up the props to make it just LOOK like NASA went to the Moon. . . then they used a sound stage set up in the desert at Area 51 to actually film the landing, using locations shots the advance team took from the real location site, and then sent them to their radio and radar repeaters the advance team set up, so it would look like they had actually gone. They had to do it this way because the insurance underwriters wouldn't let them risk the principals on a real trip. . . especially after the Apollo 1 disaster. /s
