Massive ‘cloud tsunami’ stuns Australia

An ominous âcloud tsunamiâ rolls in along the coast of Sydney, Australia, on Friday, signaling the coming of severe storms for the area.
The massive formation, actually called a shelf cloud, stunned Australians, with a flurry of photos hitting social media.
The Australian Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the area with possible threats of large hail storms, heavy rains and forceful winds.

One time when we were visiting my aunt who lived in Corpus Christi, there was a cloud formation like that-it was scary and awesome-and a big thunderstorm started within a couple of hours.

Driving across the flatter parts of the southwest many moons ago I saw a cloud formation sort of like that. It’s a pretty humbling thing to behold. Puts how small we are into perspective quick.
