Lisa, who today is a lawyer and Louise, a published scientist, both 46, also revealed their role in the hit flick did more harm than good to their fledgling acting careers.
They claim they were turned down by a number of acting schools because they’d been in the horror movie.
‘Oh my God, we loved it,’ Louise and Lisa Burns say about their once in a lifetime gig working with Kubrick.
‘Everyday felt like we’d been invited to a very exclusive party and we were the youngest, luckiest people to be there.’

Some directors have a sadistic side to them anyway, wanting to induce and witness suffering, just to study the effects academically. Alfred Hitchcock was notorious for that, from what I’ve read, especially with his pretty blonde actresses.
They must have liked having kids around

I always said she was a better Olive Oyl in The Shining than in Popeye.
I never saw The Shining (and never will), but my grandpa took us to see Popeye when it was in theaters. I thought Popeye was creepy. Maybe she’s just kind of spooky?
In one scene, Jack Nicholson's character enters the haunted Room 237, where he sees a beautiful nude woman in the bath. They embrace. It doesn't end happily.
None of the child actors were part of that scene, so they likely were not even present that day.
I am a huge Kubrick fan. While FMJ and The Shining are up there, a think that they are not his best. A Clockwork Orange, Lolita, Dr. Strangelove, 2001:A Space Odyssey, and my own quirky favorite, Barry Lyndon were his best work. Not a bad body of work, I would say.

All those movies you mention were good, but Lolita was the only one not as good nor better than the book.
I think the most faithful book to movie I’ve ever seen
was Catch-22. Having read the book many times, I took
the wife to the Atlanta red-carpet first showing of the
flick. As she sat beside me in the theater, I mouthed
the words of the actors as they were saying them. Joseph
Heller’s dialogues were too good to improve upon, so they
were lifted word for word into the movie.
There's some conspiracy stuff about the movie out there on the Internet that's kind of entertaining. Things like a hidden apology for the faked moon landings and such. The things people can come up with!
Never read or saw Catch-22, I will have to check it out if you enjoyed it that much.
