Prisons or any large areas where many people congregate. And BTW, try to never use a SB7 Spirit Box. It’s like an Ouija Board.

I have had a couple of strange encounters that I can't fully explain. The first one was many years ago at a house we had in a very rural area. Mom and dad were visiting as just at dark we all heard children laughing. The dogs heard them and ran from the back of the house to the front. The dogs stopped barking. Laughter again, dogs ran around the house again and then stopped barking. This happened several times and I looked out and saw no one.

The next day I was telling my husband that some people had come to the house but they never came to the door. An older friend who was there told me that I had heard the children that had burned up in the fire. It seems that many years before a family was tragically burned to death and our friend had heard them scream when he was out in the woods coon hunting one night.

He and his friend were terrified and ran back to to town where they learned the story about the kids burning up.

Many years later after that old friend had died, I saw him standing out in the pasture smiling at me. He was clear and solid only he had no legs.

My husband was skeptical until I told him what Eugene was wearing. He had on a green cotton, long sleeved work shirt. My husband said he had one too, his mother had given he and Eugene each one before we had met. So there is no way I would have known about the shirt.p>

Say what you will about Cosby and his shenanigans, but that’s some classic stuff right there.

In my first year of high school I learned about the haunted Tyng mansion from some kids at school. One Friday night a group of my friends and I drove over to the abandoned house to check it out. There were maybe seven of us in two cars. We found the place and walked across the big front yard climbed up onto the front porch. It had a huge front door maybe eight feet tall and a plaque hanging on the sidewall that read Tyng Mansion 1675. We were surprised to find the door unlocked as one of us pushed the door open and we heard a loud bang echo though the house. One of the group stepped inside and flipped the light switch and the front porch light went on, It was so bright it practically lit up the whole front yard. Frantically he tried to shut it off but it wouldn’t turn off. Another member of the group tried but the light wouldn’t shut off. We panicked and made a mad dash back to the cars. Just as we all hit the street the light suddenly went out.

Half of us wanted to leave, afraid that a neighbor would call the police and the other half wanted to go back. I didn’t go back so I sat in the car with a few others while the rest of the group went back inside. They climbed to the second floor and shined the flashlight out the window it was like a scene right out of a Scoody Doo cartoon. Just then the police car pulled up and we were all busted.

The police made us follow them back to the police station. There they took us one at a time into a room and interrogated us. They told us we were breaking and entering and it was a crime. Even though I didn’t go inside he said I was an accessory to a crime and we were in serious trouble. I told them I just wanted to explore the haunted house that’s all.. What was worse then serious trouble is that they threatened to call our parents. The police called the owners of the house and they said they wouldn’t press charges if we all agreed to meet back at the house in the morning, our punishment was to clean the place out.I remember the cop telling me I was going to get my wish as I would get my chance to explore the haunted house.

We all met at the house Saturday morning at 8 o’clock the police were there along with our supervisor Brother Denis. It was a beautiful old house with a grand stairway in the front hallway, a huge kitchen with cast iron stove and a long 20’ table for dining on. We also discovered secret passageways, stair cases between the outside walls leading from one floor to the next. They say it was an escape route from Indian attacks.

This is a long story so I’m skipping a lot of detail but I was curious as to why that light wouldn’t shut off that night. When I got the chance I made my way to the foyer and started playing with the light switch. It was one of those old push button type from the early 1900’s. The light wouldn’t go on and just then I heard a voice behind me what are you doing? It startled me, I turned around it was brother Denis. I told him I was trying to turn the light on. He looked at me and said “ that light doesn’t work, there hasn’t been electricity in this house in over fifty years”. As he walked away I peaked my head out the front door and to my surprise there were no wires going from the poles to the house. That light did go on that night and it was in the police report that a neighbor called the police because they saw the front porch light go on.

Sadly that beautiful old house burned down in the early 80’s..Years later I did some research on the internet about the house to find out it was abandoned in 1924. The house does have a ghostly history and you can do a search if you’d like, of the Tyng Mansion in Tyngsboro Mass..

From a collection of two sentence horror stories:

I can't move, breathe, speak or hear and it's so dark all the time. If I knew it would be this lonely, I would have been cremated instead.

That’s scarier than any Halloween story.

The bible has one incident of a dead person being summoned by a witch. It fits better with a general biblical understanding that this would have been a demonic illusion rather than any actual summoning of a soul. In the Transfiguration, Jesus showed Moses and Elijah (in full form, not ghosts) and this would be credible because one is dealing with God here.

The mainstream Christian understanding, and I now have no real reason to doubt it, is that there aren’t any ghosts. There ARE demons, which are angels that rebelled against God along with Lucifer who became Satan. The love of God will repel demons, which are driven by hate of God.

Someone told me this story a long time ago about an abbey in England that was supposed to be haunted. On the feast day of their patron saint, the monks were said to hold the traditional service in the abbey.

So someone went to the ruins and waited until midnight of the feast day.

The next day he told his friend that he saw them, but strangely, only from the waist up.

They did some research and found that the floor of the abbey had been raised at some point in the past, so what was seen was the monks walking on the original floor of the abbey.

In a way I do agree, that ghosts can be demons. However, even Jesus also acknowledge Ghosts.

“Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.” that is what Jesus said.

Not all ghosts are demonic. I have been blessed with a gift to discern. Believe me, I can tell. I have experienced ghosts that have impersonated my mother’s voice - except she was alive back then and my mother heard my voice calling her out - except I was alive and still is.

Yet, I have experience REAL DEMONIC force when I was a little girl. I rebuked it in the Blood of Jesus until another entity intervene.

My dead aunt who passed away back in 1972 appeared to me and my mother in 1997. She was a strong Christian woman.
I had a gut feeling she was trying to tell my mother would be joining her on the other side. Well I was right, mother who was very very close to her passed away 3 weeks later.

Remember Cain and Able?
Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” And he said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?” 10He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to Me from the ground.

Your brother’s blood is crying to Me! very telling.

I do have a special gift and so did my mother. Like I said I can decern between evil and good “ghosts”. I think as Christian we put God in a box and refuse to see. If there is a presence and God wants me to know there is, I will acknowledge it. However, I have not nor ever call them to me.

Now yes some say there is no ghosts and that is because they never experience them. Maybe one day they will.

Oh gheez! That one hit on two of my fears. Not afraid of dying but being buried alive versus burned alive scares the heck out of me. I guess being burned alive would go faster:(
