open borders = no control = idiocy

Whatever made Europeans think they could have open borders and NOT be swamped by the World??

For the moment, let’s just hope European politicians are naive idiots ... and not deliberate saboteurs .... cuz events could fit either description

"The extraordinary aerial photo of a column of refugees and migrants tramping through the fields of Slovenia may come to symbolise the moment the EU began to fall apart."

Locusts.

All the western governments need to be replaced. They are corrupt to their core. They are delusional and they are committing suicide.

Ol' Barkey's geo-political blunders cause the downfall of the EU!

'Tis an ill wind that blows no good.

This reeks of wishful thinking and/or deliberate media gaslighting designed to lull the sheep into thinking it’s inevitable that “other people” will be doing the pitchfork marching and protesting that has to happen before this problem can be “fixed”..

Nope, there will just be quiet, polite, p()ssy-Euro demonstrations that the media will either ignore or demonize.

A very good historical reflection by a commentor in the Telegraph... History repeating itself?

“As author Arturo Pérez-Reverte Gutiérrez tells it; in the year 376 AD, an enormous mass of men, women and children appeared on the Danube frontier of the Roman Empire. They were refugee Goths who sought asylum, pressed by the advancing hordes of Attila. For several reasons - among others, that Rome was no longer what it had been - they were allowed to enter the territory of the Empire and were not exterminated, enslaved or conquered, as according to the custom of the time had happened to previous waves of immigrant peoples (I suspect they considered themselves more civilized than earlier times).*

In the following months, those refugees discovered that the Roman Empire was not Paradise, that the governors were weak and corrupt, that there was not wealth and food for all, and that injustice and greed were fattening upon them. And so, two years after crossing the Danube, these same Goths killed Roman Emperor Valens and destroyed his army at the battle of Adrianople. And ninety-eight years later, their grandchildren dethroned Romulus Augustulus, the last Roman Emperor, and liquidated what remained of the Roman Empire.”

It appears the politicians have no clue how bad things are in the middle east, or how prosperous Europe looks from there.

I had this discussion with a friend yesterday. He was down because he only makes $43,000 and everybody living around him has new cars and new stuff. I pointed out he was better off than probably 95% of the people on the planet. The determining factor was a roof over his head, food in his belly and a future for his children. Most of the world has none of that. Merkel is an idiot.

“German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who thought it a good idea to send out an utterly self-serving signal a few weeks ago inviting anyone who could make the journey to head for Europe.”

I wonder what the backlash will be on this one?

One thing I can bet is that she and her party are thrown out of office and excluded from power for the next 100 years!
