On September 11, 2012, by 6 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, the attack by a terrorist group associated with al-Qaeda was still underway against our consulate and CIA compound in Benghazi, Libya. By this time the whereabouts of Ambassador Chris Stevens were unknown, but the State Department had been informed of the attack and that Sean Smith had been found dead.
The following is a verified timeline of what then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, President Obama, the White House and various administration agencies knew, when they knew it, and the now-verifiable lies told by all concerned for more than a week afterwards.
Thanks to new information uncovered by the Benghazi Select Committee, we now know for a fact that, at least in private, Clinton was telling the truth — telling others that an anti-Muslim YouTube video had absolutely nothing to do with what she immediately knew was an organized terror attack, and one that resulted in the murder of four Americans, including our ambassador.
Nevertheless, publicly, the White House, Obama, and Clinton spent more than a week afterwards covering up what they knew was the truth.

Did anyone on the committee ask Hillary if she was told to push the false narrative about the you tube video, or if she thought of it herself?
I agree. If the lie was proven, okay, therefore what?
This is why she insisted on a public trial, because she was told what to expect, and none of that was a cause for any worry. The Committee was a huge waste.
She won't be indicted. Gowdy looked like a chump. Hillary stomped all over him. The whole fiasco was a disaster for House Committee Republicans.
Don’t hold your breath. These ‘investigations’ are just to appease the electorate.
And Gowdy, despite all his bluster and supposed pointed questions is a blowhard looking for either reelection or higher officer.
We have gotten to the point, or past it, at which lies don’t matter to the vast majority of the constituency who supports Demonrat candidates.
Mrs.Bill will do to the US what she did to the four who died in Benghazi, if she became POTUS. What you saw happen in Benghazi is what you will see in the US.
I’m very disappointed. Gowdy had to know this would be the outcome. Without any clear take downs, Hillary acts like Evita Peron on speed, and gloats as though she has won, knowing the media will play ‘let’s pretend’ right along with her.
Why didn’t he have some of the bereaved parents or wives of those killed in Bengazi?
This is Gowdy’s stick ... ask the right questions, get the right answers and never follow through. This kind of action would label anyone else as a blowhard.
The biggest irony is that there really wasn’t any reason for the fictional account of what happened.
These people are such inveterate liars that they lie even when the truth would suffice.
Will she ever be indicted, charged, arrested or do jail time? Or was the hearing just a campaign stop for Hillary?☺

Congress indicts? No. You have your branches confused. There is nothing Congress can do to hold Clinton accountable.

Several hours later, a second assault targeted a different compound about one mile away, killing two CIA contractors, Tyrone S. Woods and Glen Doherty. Ten others were also injured in the attacks.
Because it was so close to the elections it was critical to blame someone else for their screw-up, so Mrs. Clinton did exactly that. She lied about the cause saying it was a anti-muslim youtube that had inflamed local crowds. But she simultaneously e-mailed her daughter saying it was “al-Qaeda” (sic).
She laughed out loud today at this hearing to try and establish why there was no military rescue attempt, although these Americans were desperately calling for assistance.
Now the Democrats’ news organs are painting this ruthless, deceitful bitch as some sort of heroine and portraying Gowdy as a Javert/Starr/McCarthy bully.
Even though they targeted taxpayer groups with political ideologies they opposed, just today Lois Lerner and the IRS got a pass from the “Justice Department”.
How do you think this disgraceful and shameful Benghazi debacle is going to end?
It’s going to end with Gowdy proving Clinton should be indicted, and Clinton walking away laughing.
For lying to Congress in an official deposition ... she sure as hell can be.
Agree. And it has broken my heart to see that some people, who I had thought were intelligent, thinking Americans have come out, full force, to support Hillary!, the lying SOS.
