During an appearance on Fridays CBS This Morning to promote her latest book, far-left feminist Gloria Steinem eagerly blamed Rush Limbaugh for making the word feminism a bad word because he talks about feminazis everyday.
Co-host Norah ODonnell teed up Steinem to bash Limbaugh by noting the Meryl Streep doesn't consider herself a feminist. She says she considers herself a humanist. Why is it that the feminist label do you think has that--" bad connotation?
After Steinem bashed Limbaugh for allegedly making the word feminism a bad word she then claimed that most Americans actually identify as feminists themselves:
But if people just go to the dictionary and discover that it means a person, male or female, who believes in the full equality of women and men then they do subscribe to it. And it is a majority now which it didnt used to be.

Damn right he did it!
I had not even heard of feminism, other than Lucy from the Peanuts comic strip calling herself one, but everything I needed to know, I learned from Limbaugh in the 90s.
And his efforts in many ways led to the multitude of anti-feminism commentators you can find on YouTube today.
Your full on support of Bill Clinton through the bimbo explosions showed you to be nothing more than an arm of the DNC.
I’ve listened to Rush for all these years. “Feminists” are
just mad they’re not Rush. Heh. :o) I’ll admit, they’ve
been good for a belly laugh, though.
Let’s see......you can’t give hurricanes female names only because that’s “sexist”, even though hurricanes were believed to be the dark side of “mother nature”, but it’s perfectly ok & is not sexist to have the Statue of Liberty being female...or the statue of “justice” being female, but we need to keep myths & gods & religion out of political thinking & government! And females get the “right to privacy” & “reproductive rights”, but males do not get any right to privacy or reproductive rights....& unwed mothers may sue males for child support without any marriage contract for government to enforce....even though government cannot possibly know who an unwed mother sleeps with or who the father of her baby is unless it violates a man’s 4th amendment, 5th amendment rights...and 8th amendment rights. The Supreme Court has declared that life does NOT begin at conception when it passed the Roe versus Wade decision which de-regulated state licensed abortion doctors, but on the other hand, you can punish men & hold them responsible for their sperm’s role in fertilizing the female egg, even though the female may prevent ovulation( the Pill), fertilization (condoms/diaphragms), attachment of a fertilized egg to the uterus (IUD), can take morning after pills, get abortions, or give babies up for adoptions. It’s the female who makes the decision to feed & incubate HER fertilized egg in HER body......but still feminists want to tell men it’s their fault because “you got her pregnant and “you should have kept it in your pants”..which is mere flat-earth thinking......... It’s HER egg which gets fertilized in HER body...and if life doesn’t begin when the egg gets fertilized, then the male is NOT responsible...but it’s the female who is responsible for her choice to feed & incubate HER own fertilized egg in HER body....and for not having a marriage contract with any man for government to enforce. Feminists will call men “deadbeats” for not supporting babies of unwed mothers...but they never will jail unwed mothers as deadbeats for choosing to keep babies without any job or money or husband or concern for men they sue or taxpayers they are gouging. Some women even lie to men & tell men they are sterile or “on the Pill” or “had a hysterectomy”...but if life does NOT begin when sperm fertilizes egg, then what is the moral, legal, or philosophic basis for letting unwed mothers sue for child support without being able to prove who the father is & without any marriage contract for government to enforce...and when —if life doesn’t begin at conception, then the male is innocent of making a “baby” and it’s the female who makes the baby by feeding of & incubating of HER own fertilized egg in HER body. Feminists always want things both ways, which is the reason why feminism IS a dirty word.
Now that's an out and out lie! There are plenty of days where Rush talks about nothing but is Two if By Tea, Rush Revere, Football and Apple
LOL, I hear ya...I'm a stick to the issues guy too.
But it's his show and we listen.
Miss Steinem is wrong again. Rush doesn’t talk about feminazis every day, but he certainly will take a victory lap today. I hope she doesn’t cry....
That’s the salient point isn’t it?
Can't remember the game show or the celebrity playing, but the answer he was trying to elicit from his playing partner was 'Birkenstocks,' so he simply said, 'Those ugly sandals lesbians wear' as his clue.
His partner got it. Immediately.
El Rushbo didn’t ruin the word “feminism” (Steinem & Co did that themselves), instead he added to the lexicon when he coined the term “feminazi”!
No Glo, you FEMINISTS ruined the word “feminist”.
It’s people like Steinem who have made feminism a bad word.
Real feminists like Gov. Palin are doing what they can to rehabilitate it
But radical feminism is a paranoid hateful assault on men and ordered liberty by blaming all the world's problems on men, and advocating a nearly totalitarian reconstruction of society through big government intervention
Rush: Gloria Steinem, former Playboy playmate — you wonder why they stopped publishing the magazine pictures?
Once again, Steinem was not a Playmate....she was a bunny.
Oh that made my day- Thanks! (Norm McDonald?)
So all those tough, independent-minded women aren’t able to ignore Limbaugh’s characterization of ‘feminazis” and define themselves - poor babies.....
