METAIRIE, La. (AP) -

“I thought I was going to get killed. I didn’t know what to do," said the victim of a violent home invasion in Metairie.

The incident happened Oct. 14 at about 8:30 a.m. in the 3500 block of Bissonet Drive. The victim, who still struggles to talk after being severely beaten, said three men claiming to be repairmen knocked on her door.

“I called my son, and my son talked to one of the guys,” the victim said.

“She gave her phone to them so that I could speak with them," the victim's son said. "I get on the phone with one of the guys, and I asked him what he was doing. He said, 'we were told to come to this address to do some work,' and I said, 'well maybe you got the wrong address.'”

After getting off the phone, the victim said she tried to close the door, but the three men pushed their way in.

“That’s when they hit me," she said. "They started punching me and threw me to the floor.”

She said the men were screaming "where’s the money", as they beat her.

“There is all kinds of blood in the house from the front door and all through the kitchen,” the victim’s son said.

The victim has two roommates, a man and a woman. At the time of the attack, both of them were home. The victim said the woman tried to come to her aid.

“When I was screaming for help, she came out to help me, and the guy got her to go back in the room. They stayed with her and told her to shut up and don’t talk,” the victim said.

That struck me, too. They all three look
like they belong in chains.

I think the actual quote was “Thank God we got penitentiaries!”. Same monologue where we got “why did you kill everyone in the house? They wuz home!”. Foul mouthed man - but really funny.

Is this the book that pegged the decrease in crime to the increase in abortion?

“Why in God’s name did you do that to those people?”
“Well, they was home.”

Yes, Richard Pryor talked about how upset he was that so many black men were in prison, until he actually went to one and saw why they were in prison.

If these guys came to the door, I’d grab the 12 gauge quickly. I’d have buckshot in the tube BEFORE dialing the police.

My alleged white privilege hasn’t made Moe, Larry, and Curly (middle picture) the monsters they are. A failed welfare state, a sense of entitlement, failed schools, and a black culture that seeks to make us more like Mogadishu than Mayberry are the problems.

If I saw that walking down my street that’d be my response.

Despite the Taser prong sticking out of his upper chest, Narcisse was able to run to a tan Chevy Tahoe, according to an arrest report. Deputy Bowman followed and tried to stop the vehicle by reaching inside it, Fortunato said. As Narcisse sped off, the officer was dragged for a short distance before falling to the street below.

Officer Elmore Patin Jr. continued the pursuit, and Narcisse gave up near Bissonet Drive and Veterans Memorial Boulevard. He pulled into the PC Tune Ups parking lot at 5416 Veterans Blvd. and dropped to the ground.

An EMS crew arrived and pulled the Taser prong out of Narcisse’s chest, the arrest report said. A Michael Kors purse belonging to one of the victims was found in his pocket, the report said.

Narcisse, 37, of Westwego, was booked on aggravated burglary, resisting a police officer by force, battery on a police officer, aggravated flight from an officer and attempted first-degree murder of an officer. He already faces charges stemming from a March arrest for resisting arrest and possessing a muscle relaxant without a prescription.

investigators who had responded to the Bissonet Drive home were searching the residence for evidence when they discovered the third suspect, Terry McCall Jr., 29, hiding under a bed in the victim’s bedroom, Fortunato said.

Ronald Bowman, of 1609 Julie St., Marrero, was booked with aggravated burglary, resisting arrest by refusing to provide identification, resisting an officer and three outstanding attachments.

Bowman has convictions for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, crack possession, possession of marijuana and drug possession, Jefferson Parish court records said. Bond on the charges related to the burglary was set at $76,500, but Bowman was being held without on the attachments.

“If these guys came to the door, I’d grab the 12 gauge quickly.”

And people wonder why I have a gun handy when I answer the door. It does make it a little tricky when I open the door and it’s the police...

That’s 5 blocks from where I live. This is a nice suburban neighborhood with a relatively low crime rate. The perps live on the other side of the Mississippi River in a high crime area. On the street where I live, we held a Night Out Against Crime event the night before this happened. The woman just opened the door without knowing who these guys were. One was holding a chainsaw. What was she thinking?

When I lived in Metairie (actually, Old Metairie), we didn’t see too many creatures such as these. We had a sheriff named Harry Lee, and he caused quite a stir when he went public with the comment that he didn’t want these kinds of people “and their rinky-dink cars” coming into Metairie.

Metairie used to be a very nice place to live. Apparently the missing links have taken over that area of New Orleans, too.
