Apple banned these iPhone apps following a security breach

Apple has removed nearly 300 apps from the iTunes store because they secretly gathered personal information from users.

The apps were made in China and allowed a Chinese ad company to display their ads inside the apps. The software was designed to gather people's email addresses and iPhone serial numbers.

Apple says it will no longer accept apps from the developer. Most of the apps are games, including the popular Angry Birds 2.

Here's a full list from BGR.com:

Note that the Angry Birds 2 is only the Chinese Translation of that popular game. I note that this list seems to be identical to the same apps that Apple removed from the App Store for having been written with the XcodeGhost form of Xcode last month. . . so I am suspicious of this list. — Swordmaker

This is a list of the supposed Apps removed from the Chinese App Store for imbedding ads which mined customer emails and device serial numbers. This sounds strangely like the XcodeGhost exploit that hit China's Apple App store and other jailbroken app stores last month, and the list seems to be the same as those as were pulled temporarily then, such as the Chinese translation of Angry Birds 2. I am suspicious of this list being a re-hash of that story. — PING!
