Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in just two months, and today it's finally time to see the movie's official poster. No, not the teaser poster from last year, and not the promo item handed out at D23; this is the real deal. The poster features the key members of the cast that audiences have met thus far: Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, and Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, with some other faces that you just might recognize (hi, Han and Leia).
What's even more interesting is the sight of some sort of orb in the upper right corner, complete with a glowing red eye. 30 years ago, I would have said this was some sort of riff on the Death Star, but given the secrecy that J.J. Abrams has been able to pull off up until this point it could be almost anything. A new weapon? A new character? We don't know right now, but odds are it will be revealed when the next trailer for the film is shown tomorrow during Monday Night Football.

(They told me it could never happen in America. And then it did....)
I really really hope that this will be the first good star wars movie in 40 years after the unbelievable mind numbing horribleness of episodes 6, 1, 2, 3.

Looks too PC. A woman and a black guy are going to save the universe... yawn.Thanks. You just ruined it for me. I didn't even notice that until you said something! :) All I saw was the conspicuous absence of Mark Hamill.
The current era of PC is worse than the one in the 90s. Hopefully this one ebbs the way that one did...

One of the coolest minimalist posters (in triptych) I came across on the internet. Not even sure if it is official because there seems to be an amazing lot of fan created work out there too.

I assume they will explain how a Cloned White Stormtrooper ended up turning into a Black Stormtrooper.
I can only assume that someone slipped the Petri Dish a Mickey.
I don’t use the Term “African American” simply because there is no such thing as Africa in the Star Wars Universe.

So is Luke Skywalker not in this film??? Mark Hamill is the only original cast member who doesn’t seem too geriatric to be in this film. Han Solo might as well sit around in a wheel chair the way Harrison looks.
