No doubt the ratings will be big for the Cubs/Mets game. Go Cubs!
Well, I’m pulling for the Cubs. At the same time I’m aware that all the forces of the universe are opposed to the Cubs winning. That thar makes it kinda hard.
Great play by Harvey!
d’Arnaud hits the Apple!
Mila Kunis hits the Jim Beam barrel!
(not sure if you have the same commercials I do)
Watching TBS online.
Ha!
The catcher was too far back to make the tag!
I hope the Cubs will decide to come to play NEXT game.
With the World Series being pushed later and later into fall, I always am concerned that they will run into bad baseball weather. This has happened a few times in recent years.
You hate to see the most important games of the season played in bad baseball weather.
Some have talked of having the World Series at a neutral warm weather or domed site, as is done with the Super Bowl. Who knows if that will ever happen. That would take away weather concerns.
Of course, if Bernie won, it could happen, since the owners are part of the 1%, but the mainstream media has decided that Hillary will be the next President after all.
Go Cubs! Lifelong Cubs fans in this house. Hey Hey Hey!!!
MomwithHope I hope the Cubs win tonight too! I wasn’t happy with their performance last night! I know tonight has to be better. :)
Lester and Bryant could have been better. Also they should have pulled Lester one inning sooner.
The Mets infield also did a better job.
To me their play just wasn’t up that extra notch you need for the post season. But tonight will be better!!
(please please please God)
I swear my mom was blowing that wind the first night at Wrigley from heaven.
I’m going to show you the best post I’ve read about the Cubs. This was from Jonascord. I loved this! :

My grandmother moved to Chicago when Franz-Joseph was still Emperor of her home town. For some inexplicable reason, starting in the 20’s, she always got season tickets to Wrigley Field.
In the 50’s and 60’s we’d take the Belmont Avenue bus, then on stop south on what was then the Englewood Line. She’d sit there, with a single cup of beer, and a cigar in a green jade holder, and study the game, focused like a Buddist monk. Only weekday games. (She thought cheering wasn’t ‘proper’.) Hey, she was a nutty Austrian lady.
It’s been over a century. Please, just this once?

Mom (born 1924) was the daughter of polish immigrants. She preferred watching the games on tv in her south side home where I grew up. But she would turn down the sound because she liked the local radio commentators better so she would have the radio on. She also had a small stuffed raccoon she would shake at the screen when the Cubs were at bat. The raccoon went in her casket. Come on mom get that juju going!
What a GREAT memory!
I know your Mom is in heaven shaking that raccoon for all she’s worth! :)
The last time we were at Wrigley we took her and saw Sammy Sosa hit a homer. Her favorite player at the time was Mark Grace. She asked me to do a sweatshirt for her with an iron on transfer that said Amazing Mark Grace.
