You’ll get a kick out of this — Microsoft thinks Mac gear is worth more. Who knew?

BTW, the article at The Register’s site has the embedded links for a lot of the info. For more in-depth info, go to the Register’s page.

Let me guess, it’s funded by a Nigerian prince.

Lots of Mac owners are going to ditch their crummy ol’ obsolete machines to get on the Windows Ten bandwagon. Get paid to upgrade!

Why do they want us so much for us to take this new operating system?

Planned obsolescence is Apple’s downfall. The fanbots, fembots and manobots go buy an iphone and 12 months later it is obsolete, so they have to buy an iPhone 6 or 6s. The fanbots are spinning like hamsters in a cage on a treadmill. Meanwhile the ghouls in Cupertino collect the tolls on all this foolishness. That’s all they are. Toll collectors.

Sounds like the old inkjet printer “consumables” model. Hook you with a cheap printer, nail you with toner.

Howdy Admin Mod,
Just curious... how come the "[United Kingdom]" prefix on the title? The article's topic and Microsoft's offer applies to U.S. customers as well as Brits. I've posted scores of threads from The Register in the past, so I assume it's not just that the website is from the U.K.
Did I do something wrong?
Thanks.

Sounds like a good time to upgrade from my current 386.
