Planned obsolescence is Apple’s downfall. The fanbots, fembots and manobots go buy an iphone and 12 months later it is obsolete, so they have to buy an iPhone 6 or 6s. The fanbots are spinning like hamsters in a cage on a treadmill. Meanwhile the ghouls in Cupertino collect the tolls on all this foolishness. That’s all they are. Toll collectors.
My 8 year old MacBook Pro can run the latest Mac OS (El Capitan). It does a fine job still running as a server.
I noticed that MS’s trade-in offer was for computers up to 6 years old. Hmm...
