The other day I was watching a rerun of a popular TV show from the past. Suddenly it occurred to me that this was the most CONSERVATIVE TV show ever despite the fact that it wasn't specifically a political show.
Okay, I'll give you the name: DRAGNET. I was watching the color version that came back to the airwaves in 1967. Detective Joe Friday didn't fool around. He was all business with NO apologies in enforcing the law. Also notable was how he sneered at hippies, drug addicts, or (in the case of the episode I was watching) idiotic teenyboppers who shoplifted strictly to be members of a dopey club.
Actually he had several Ellie, Peggy, Mary , of which one are you referring?
I’d say it was “conservative” in a libertarian sort of way.
Wagon Train
LOL, good points!!!
Ya the Howell’s are part of the evil 1%. They would have to pay their fair share!!!! LOL..
We love Blue Bloods here.
My, this is so confusing. LOL.

Donnie Wahlburg was in “Band of Brothers”. He played 1st Sgt Lipton.
Did a pretty good job, but then they all did.
She had a great voice too.
That’s like what Mae West said:
“Bridge is like sex. You need a great partner or a great hand.”
OMG, Ginger as a transgender??? OMG.
Wow, that’s enough to deflate the thoughts of the teenage boys of that time who watched that show...........
In that case, in the “Ginger vs. Mary Anne” debates, Mary Anne or Maria Anna would win by default..............
Interestingly enough though, Webb did hire Julie and her new husband Bobby Troop for Emergency!
I don’t know about the conservative part; but I loved Andy Griffith (Ernest T Bass always cracked me up), Gunsmoke, Rifleman, F-Troop, Gilligan’s Island, McHale’s Navy, Beverly Hillbillies...I could go on and on. Good memories!
TV these days is horrible.
"Bonanza" actually got poor ratings on the air early on. It was aired at the same time as "Perry Mason," which was a top-rated show.
NBC kept it on the air as part of a cross-promotion strategy. RCA was the parent company of NBC at the time and was the show's biggest sponsor, and the fabulous outdoor scenes in "Bonanza" were seen as a way to help sell RCA's line of color televisions.
“OMG, Ginger as a transgender??? OMG.

LOL
These shows reflected the traditional values of the time, which are conservative by today’s definition. Apply the same logic to current offerings and consider what that means...
